Dude, you can get a 32GB Quad Core Nexus 7 for $179 these days…

But that website says it's a table - "These refurbished tables…". So it's a table that looks like a gadget?

      • -8

        cool story bro

      • I prefer the 7-foot Android tables that are regularly advertised.

    Refurbished and can't beat this.

  • After the touchpad demise, hp has become an untouchable in the world of tablets.

    CNET review:
The good: The HP Slate 7 is a durable 7-inch tablet, includes an expandable storage option, and has good gaming performance. Beats Audio effectively enhances bass-heavy music through headphones or earbuds.

The bad: The screen’s resolution is eye-squintingly low, large apps take a long time to load, and its cameras produce washed-out, dull-looking shots. Also, there’s no GPS, and Android 4.1.1 can feel a bit archaic compared with newer versions of the OS.

The bottom line: The HP Slate 7 strips out way too much to make its low price, and what's left can't compare to the Nexus 7's offerings.

To date, no tablet in the Aussie market has been able to beat the Nexus 7 in terms of price vs performance ratio.

      So in summary:
      Crap screen
      Crap camera
      Slow
      Outdated OS
      No GPS

I suppose if you can ignore these minor points its not bad.

        Yes….but its red.

      • Thats a bit harsh. 1024x600 is OK for a 7", 4.1 is hardly outdated, and its not that slow.
We've just been spoiled by the Nexus 7. At $99 this HP would be a bargain. No GPS is a bit sad though.

  • I'm not sure why hp even made this tablet

  • for an extra $40 you can get ACER A700 with tegra3 and full size tablet

  • I don't neg many deals, but this is a piss poor effort on behalf of HP… and I am bitter about them dropping the touchpad

    • Same here, def not a deal…

  • Introducing the outdated tablet by HP.

  • I don't usually neg a deal, but when I do there are better tablets in the market

    • Wouldn't say its a bad deal, just that there are better tablets near this price point. The old nexus 7 is worth a few (10's)dollars more
