  • That's not a bargain,I got the exact same setup at HN for $400 flat.

  • Oh it's a pioneer sound system.

    Is it $499. Hmm

  • Great, now all I need is an iThing and some compressed music from iTunes. I'm sure it will sound amazing in 5.1

    • What's wrong with using a receiver and 5.1 system to listen to music? Sure it's entry level, but its priced accordingly and would beat a similarly entry level dock.

      • +1

What i'm saying is that the OP is suggesting that this is perfect for people using their iphones/ipods to listen to music, but why would you want to use a receiver and ok speakers to listen to crap quality music. Save that for the docks and use the receiver for high quality stuff, not compressed music from your phone. Oh and the 5.1 bit was just another little jab as everything on your iphone would be in 2.0 and most music sounds wrong when pushed into 5.1 channels, better off sticking with 2.0 or 2.1

        • Yeah, 2.1 is definitely the way to go.

        • i have a 7.1 system- i reckon music sounds amazing with this cf 2.1 setup

  • +5

You should at least put the brand, model number and price in the title. Very confusing post

    • Spidey's right.

Mobilemenia, cut and paste this into the title before you get flamed: Pioneer 5.1 surround sound system $499 (save $500) at DSE

Then post this link in the description:

      http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/products/42/100/42/MOVIE-522TAL…

The package model number is "movie-522tall". Doesn't read well in the title but should be in description too.

      • Maybe also a link to the dse site. Can't find it online. Might be runout stock and store specific and no longer online

      • Thanks for the fix neil.

  • Okay, really not a bad price for the package, given the receiver has a RRP of $499 although you can get it for $299. The package should include 5.1 speakers.

  • looks like good value
    well done
