7" Portable DVD Player $19.98 at Dick Smith (60% Saving). Ends Aug 4

Good, cheap way to get your kids to make use of all those DVDs you have before they become obsolete.
Perhaps better than listening to them play I-Spy for hours on long road trips too.

Click & Collect or instore only.

PS. Now I've seen it all. A media player that costs less than the media itself! I'm sure you'd pay more for a new release DVD…

*No built-in battery. Powered by AC adaptor or In car power lead.

    • Beat me to it, was about to make same post.

A while ago DSE recalled all their battery powered portable DVD players due to risk of battery fire.

Not very "portable" if it needs to be plugged in to a power supply.

      • A while ago DSE recalled all their battery powered portable DVD players due to risk of battery fire.

To reduce production & unit costs, they prolly used dodgy 18650 'ultrafire' cells…

  • I got one of these last week. Pretty cool. In car charge lead isnt very long though.

    • What's it like watching a 480 x 234 resolution DVD? (Thinking of one for the next road trip with the kids)

    • In car charge lead isnt very long though.

They have an extension lead for $20.98 … $1 more than the whole device costs.

    That's one sh*thouse resolution for a 7" screen… but I guess if it's just for DVDs…

  • Good deal but hardly any stock in western sydney :(

  • Sadly they are accustomed to full hd video on iPad 4 and my portable Blu-ray player. Soon I'll be getting complaints about 720p video which for some reason a lot of video is stuck on. Thank god for Blu ray.

  • Can this thing watch Videos from USB? it has a usb port.
