How will they be able to tell whether or not I'm an existing customer???

    • They have your real name and car license number on the database? You'd have given them your personal info when signing up for any post or prepaid plan.

      • Thanks scrimshaw, nonetheless, I think this deal is much better (especially since you don't need to be an existing customer)

Either OK for me $2 for 1GB or $5 for 3GB - I've got 14 days between $9 Dodo 10GB Unlimited deal expiring & 6 week OS hols, so this could fill the gap.

          $5 Scoopon 60d 3GB Dodo above http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/111283 Expires in 14days
          $9 Groupon 30d 10GB Dodo http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/105124 Expired!
          FREE Yatango 30d 3GB data, 1000txt & 1000min calls http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/105640

        • That looks like a great deal, but was the $9 for only 30 days, or was it a recurring thing (a.k.a $9 for each month for as many months as you'd like)???

          ^^^^ SCRATCH THAT ^^^^^^

I found out that it's just for the 30 days :D

      • They have your real name and car license number on the database

What if you don't have a car and don't drive? No phone???

        • +3

Then you'd need to provide primary + secondary forms of ID to fulfill the 100 point check.

        • Not in reality! The only info they asked for when I signed up yesterday was a name, email address, & phone number, and the Groupon voucher code for the $9 10GB Unlimited deal (but paid by Credit Card). Must be a bit lax in the Philippines call centre!

  • Which network do they use?

    • -1

Luckily, they use Optus, which is pretty good to be honest

  • If only I had a dual-sim phone, that way, switching from my Optus Sim (which only has 200MB) to a cheap Data sim like this one would be so much simpler

  • Good deal. But be warned, no LTE, no hotspotting, and the network is frequently overloaded where I use it. The latter is Optus's fault

    • -2

No LTE = not that big of a deal
No hotspotting = kind of a big deal, how do you know?
Network overload I'll have to test for myself

    • If you mean tethering by "hotspotting" - I am tethered while posting! Desktop & another Android are both tethered to an ancient Android.
At this time of day I had real problems on ADSL2+, and Vodafone. Even Telstra mobile (3G) broadband on a Pocket WiFi2 was slow most nights. Guess this area has few Dodo/Optus users. So pretty pleased with the speed for browsing on Dodo. (My first day.)

      • Yeh, I've noticed that it seems to be iPhones that decide to remove tethering random with Optus..

As for network overload - depends on your location. I'm with Telstra, wife has Optus, and neither of us can browse the net via 3G at home. Travel 5 mins in any direction and it must connect to another cell - issue disappears! :P

      • Download speed nearly 2Mb/s at 8pm in the Burbs of Brissie - usually a busy time [Speedtest on recycled PC tethered by WiFi to old slow Android] (On $9 10GB Dodo Unlimited Talk & Text deal, with 100min international calls)

      • Tethering on optus on my androids drops off after a certain time of inactivity.
The internet connection stays live, it just drops the wifi/tether.

        • Sounds like an equipment/OS issue, rather than network. Been solid WiFi last 24hours on Dodo & Yatango for weeks, using 2 very basic Androids.

  • +1

keeps saying invalid shipping method, tried both mobile and pc

  • yea yatango deal expires tomorrow 31/7; 100MBper day vs 15megs/d do-do, $0 vs $2

    • Free is good! I am with Yatango now, no problems.
Just went over to 10GB 30d Dodo as almost used up 3G in 3 weeks. (Planning for OS holiday (downloading guides etc) will eat through the GB & Dodo Unlimited includes 100min International calls - very handy.)

Site states "Available for a limited time only." Wonder if it will expire at end of tomorrow. OB deal states that as expiry date, but no post stating that in deal - probably a guess or convenient termination date for OB deal.

    • Yatango FREE deal still active!

  • The link in the deal is for a $20 PREPAID SIM & 1GB. www.dodo.com/prepaid-wireless/ There is no such offer at DODO.
There is a $20 POST PAID 1GB deal for existing DODO customers - see https://connectto.dodo.com/wireless/PlanSelection.aspx?ct=1

Options for the "Dodo postpaid mobile wireless broadband enabled SIM card" are
Already a Dodo Postpaid Customer(Excludes dial-up, mobile wireless broadband and insurance) or
    Not a Dodo Postpaid Customer

Discount price of $20 1GB 1 month plan for existing DODO Postpaid customers (Discounted here to $2)
    otherwise $30.

Very confusing! I'm prepaid, so may not qualify!

  • Can't order - "Invalid shipping method." when continue after entering address. Tried several times.

  • I'm also trying to order, and having the same issue.

To be honest, I've not got a lot of faith in a business that can't get something like this fixed. They had this issue months ago.

    Pretty poor form.

  • Damn.. Wish I was a Dodo customer.. said no one ever.

    Hey guys,

There has been an issue with the use of the voucher code causing the invalid shipping error.

To over come this the voucher code will discount the SIM to $0.00 but a $2 shipping fee will be applied. This will allow the transaction to go through.

    Any questions, please post here.

    • I gave up ordering & got a free 3GB elsewhere. The link to Dodo info on your site did not link to a $20 1GB SIM. There was no explanation of need to be an existing Dodo customer, or what restrictions there are , e.g. must be activated in 30 days. Far to vague even for a $2 risk.

      • All this information was provided in the original EDM that was sent out. The poster has only provided the link to the deal and the voucher code. Please note that this is also the Noworries site and not the Dodo site. As the poster did not include the terms and conditions from the original source I have added them here.

Offer expires 02/08/2013, 1GB included data must be used within 60 days. Valid for existing Dodo customers only. Limit one sim and voucher per customer. Free delivery within Australia. Service not available in all areas, broadband speeds available in 3G areas only. Item shipped within 14 days of purchase and must be activated within 30 days of receipt. Customers with four or more existing pre-paid mobile services (including pre-paid mobile and mobile wireless broadband) will be unable to activate this service. 3G modem not included in offer and can be purchased via www.dodo.com. Click here to view Critical Information Summary.

  • When you can post back with $10 10GB 60d , there is some thing to look at
& more in it for Dodo brand, @Cz.

  • I only recieved the sim card with no voucher. What can I do?
