Service station in Blakehurst is selling 2L milk and loaf of branded sliced bread for 99 cents. I've seen the signs out front for a while and last night i bought. Petrol is also about 10 cents a litre cheaper than the big brands at the moment (at least as of last night when i last saw it). The attendant said they are doing this to compete with the big boys nearby and just to get more customers in the door. Check link for location.

It's an ongoing offer, its not a quick sell off of soon-to-be-expiring stuff. The milk I bought last night expires August 2nd. Not sure about bread right now but I'm sure its comparable to what you'd buy in the supermarket.
how much was the petrol going for at the time that you saw it?
I think it was 148.9 or 149.9 for regular unleaded, plus a further 4c/L discount if you spend $5 or more in store. In my area BP, woolies and coles servos are all over 161.9/litre, and that might even be just for enthanol unleaded.
