    I thought wacom were crazy expensive.

      my Huion K58 performs just as good as wacom intuos5 on both Windows 7 and OS 10.4. that's the one I would recommend. the pressure sensitivity is 2048, which makes it draws like a real pen because the thickness of the line you draw may simply vary by how much pressure you use.
      ps, I haven't try the H610 yet, but I heard that one is great as well, with even lower price than K58. I think they are pretty much the same other than the shortcut keys.. those are all my opinions, the decision is still up to you.

      They are. Intuos5 starts at around $250. But everyone "knows" if you want a tablet, you get a Wacom. I've only ever used Wacom so I can't judge these other ones. But I've heard good things from some other brands, and some disappointing things about Wacom..
