  • Going there for a birthday dinner tonight, this will come in handy!

  • Well, it's a 2-for-1 voucher, not a $5.35 for a single burger.

    • Yea someone should edit it.

  • Yum, Nandos. & best spicy chip salt ever! Thanks!

    Great deal! Love their burgers!

  • sweet deal

  • just did their breast test, got 7/10 and copied the voucher to my hdd :)

    thanks :)

    • 8/10 for me, heh

  • awww.. I thought this is one of the adult deals :D .. bigger, bouncier, hmmm…

  • The voucher is listed on their website too www.nandos.com.au

    • Yep, here is the direct link: http://nandos.com.au/story/NandosVoucher.pdf
Someone should edit the OzBargain link to go straight to that voucher instead.
(okay you already have the direct link to a PDF in the description, but the logo link goes the nova website for the questionaire… fair enough, ignore this comment).

  • Is this a continuation of the Playboy deal?

  • So is it $5.35 or $10.70 for 2 burgers?

  • its $10.70 for two burgers - and they are yummy!

  • Now that's a hot deal.

  • I love how they described the deal haha

  • These puppies could do with some cheese - too dry…..

  • Well i got 6 of these - 2 each for 3 of us at work. Funny thing was that there were 2 girls behind me and they also had the voucher.

On the voucher they dont look that big but when you actually get it, its fairly big - bigger than a whopper.
It was a little hard to finish both of them. There is actually a lot of chicken in it. my friends said that their ones were a little dry as well but i put extra sause on mine. overall id say that it was a pretty good burger but i wouldnt pay $10.70 for one. ill probably get it again before the voucher expires :)

Massive fan of Nando's but their prices are a little high - not saying they are not excellent quality, just wouldn't be able to afford it all that often. If you think the burgers are a little dry, get some of thier Peri-Peri dipping sauce, $2 or something like that, and add that in to combat the dryness.

    • The sources is on there tables, go nuts.

Just picked up a couple for dinner (1 each for me and the wife). It would be a struggle for me to fit in 2 of these, and I'm a big eater.

The price was good, but the mold on my wife's bun wasn't so great.

just got this tonight for dinner.

At first, person working behind the counter had no idea how to use the cash register.

two burgers (using this deal) and a large chips $5.50 and two drinks came to over $30, then another girl who had no idea came over and the price somehow reduced to $28 and I only had one drink and two large chips. Then I had to explain I just wanted the two burgers for $10, then a chips (5.50) then two drinks seperate.

It took them over 10 minutes and in the end I got Lemon/herb instead of hot chilli even though I asked multiple times for hot chilli. Probably will never go back, burger wasn't as good as Oportos and it's more expensive.

I took my voucher into clayfield nandos tonight, and the girl showed it to her manager, who came and told me that it entitled me to 1 x double breast burger and 1 x classic burger. I pointed out to her that it quite obviously entitled me to 2 x double breast burgers, but she just proceeded to read out "Purchase a double breast burger and get another free in exchange for this voucher" and pointed out that it meant "another burger free" and that somehow meant "a classic burger free". I politely disagreed with her a few times before caving in, as the people behind me had already had to wait through some douchebag take an hour to order as he was cracking so many lame jokes, I didn't want them to wait longer, and after all, I was getting a free burger…

Pretty dissapointing though and its obvious she was just trying to get out of that extra couple of dollars for the chicken breast. I live 2 minutes walk down the road from nandos, and won't be returning there soon, so its cost more than the $2 worth of chicken breast.

It really gets my goat when tightass managers either refuse coupons or interpret them differently. What you said was exactly right — it has definitely cost them more than $2 worth of chicken breast!

Write to Nandos head office with an official complaint against the manager (be polite). Probably get yourself a few free burgers and a letter to the manager from head office. Can't hurt you, and might get you stuff for free :)

I managed to get 4 of these babies for me and a couple of mates. They were very tasty, but I would never pay $10.70 for a single burger.

Good deal! Printed it out and went to Nandos to get take away. Then got 2 free Spring Valley Smart Energy drinks from 7-11 (right opposite Nandos) on the way home ;)

But my stomach is burning because….
I asked them to not make the burgers too dry (seems like it is dry, from reading other people's comments). And I ordered 'extra hot' which I normally have. Came home to find two 'extra hot' stickers on each burger and they were soaked with 'sauce'. Very yummy when I had it :) But I am sure there would be consequences ;)

  • Seems burger for lunch. Nice deal

  • Have to agree with the posters above… Nando's is done and dusted… they're over priced and the food isn't that great. oPorto's is better… Although i loved the innuendo in the post title!

    • Agreed, I would never go to Nando's without discount vouchers like these. They are over-priced and bland chicken burgers.

  • Just got it from nandos in Springvale - I did not have the dry chicken problem that everyone else did. Was cooked perfectly, and they accepted the voucher without question - did notice they had quite a few already stuffed under the register. At this particular nandos, the food was great, but the line up was massive, and I would suggest that the former affects the later.
Oh, and I got a page of other vouchers valid at a few Melbourne nandos for things like a free drink when you buy a burger and so on.

I'd suggest you oder over phone first and pick it up from the shop.
It takes them 10min to cook

      • They can take phone orders? That is awesome then, sovles my only gripe with this particular store…well, that and the standard prices are still high.

        • at the Tuart Hill, WA store they have a drive thru window to pick up phone orders!

          • @BelLikesABarg: Tuart Hill, I think, was where the first Nandos in Australia opened. Since it's an SA brand, and there are a lot of South Africans in WA, it'd make sense.

            • @corkster: south african brand? are you sure about that? i'm thinking south american….

I got my burger today from Nandos in Springvale too. Burger was great. They accepted the voucher without any complaint. It was very filling - I've felt like having a nap all afternoon!

good deal. too bad their food is disgusting

  • My burger was soaked with sauce also.

  • Had a lovely lunch, asked for hot then got given the bottle to make it hotter. Great service, great burgers, great price. Thanks for this one.

  • No problem with the deal at the main Nando store at Melbourne Central.
The burger is pretty tasty but not sure it is worth $10.70, prefer the burgers at Oporto.
Make the most of the deal!! :)

  • Nice Deal although their website sucks…

  • Amazingly enough I had never heard of nando's before… it sucks living in a small town…

  • great deal nice burgers

  • Enjoyed my burger at North Rocks, also had a free energy drink from the nearby 7-11.

  • Thanks for this post - enjoyed lunch with a friend yesterday at Elsternwick Nando's. Great service, extra sauces and affordable.

  • Burger is nice but it'll just be as good with one chicken breast. Two chicken breast doesn't add much to the taste or quality of the burger. Nice protein boost I guess.

If anyone still wants to eat Nandos after the promotion, they have 10% off at North Rocks:

Grumble, dry breasts, not a very good burger, one slice of tomato, mostly lettuce and two breasts. Also stuffed up the fact I wanted a lemon and herb/mild burgers, got two lemon and herb :( Also confused me on the salt, they got me to go with the peri-peri salt thinking it's the one that makes the chips tasty because they told me regular salt was just plain rock salt, not the extra tasty one! Bastards…

Nando's, pull your head out of your a**e, if you use these coupons to get people in the door, don't screw them. If I think these burgers are crap and pathetic at $5.35 each, there is no way in hell I'll be paying $10.70 for the exact same thing when the deal is over. I like your chicken, but if this is the way you make your burgers Mcdonald's is better!

  • i have had 6 burgers in the last week :) im addicted to using vouchers. the burgers are nothing special and i rarely go to nandos due to the fact its overpriced and overated food.

  • Ha, went to Nandos today and handed the voucher, as usual.

However, I think the person got the order wrong as I recieved 2 half chickens (1 whole) instead!

I then went up to the man at the counter and asked whether he had gotten to order right. He said he did.

    I guess i got a great deal!

  • I don't have a printer at home — so I just had to show the voucher on my 3G phone! Overall I'd be extremely annoyed with the burgers if I had paid full price — but they were worthwhile with the voucher!

Protip (for Nandos): If you are running a promotion (with vouchers), try and make new customers have a positive experience. This means don't refuse the voucher. Also don't try and use old stock (moldy buns) or cut down on ingredients (one slice of tomato) to minimise losses etc.
