Free on Kindle! Former NSA Agent Takes You inside That Top Secret World

420

Whether you hate the NSA or love it, you probably wonder what it's like inside that Top Secret Agency.

I'm a former NSA Agent and I'll take you inside for free!

My semi-autobiographical novel Amor Vincit Omnia: an Andrew Valquist Adventure (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AV0RIAE/) is free on Kindle through July 22.

I was an Arabic linguist at the National Security Agency from 2002 to 2006, during which time I also earned the Global War on Terrorism Civilian Service Medal for service performed in Iraq in 2004.

Using my first-hand knowledge of the work spaces and mission at the NSA, I authentically depict the environment there.

In this novel, you will follow a new employee at the NSA as he enters that building and starts his Top Secret work. But Dr. Valquist is quickly thrust into international intrigue on just his second day on the job!

Pick up Amor Vincit Omnia for free, but also check out the other novels in the Valquist Series, [A Place of Brightness, Next Stop: Spanish, and In Saecula Saeculorum] (http://www.linguasacrapublishing.com/massey.html).

  • This is fiction.

Maybe start with The Puzzle Palace, by James Bamford.

It is fiction, but it is semi-autobiographical and accurate on locational data and also non-classified realities of work inside the NSA. I had to submit the manuscript to the NSA for approval and they ordered me to remove certain things they felt were too detailed.

      • Sorry, didn't realise you were the author :)
Thought you were just quoting. So tell us about all the illegal domestic spying please.

        • +1

I'd love to. But I can't. I will tell you this, there were specific passages in my submitted manuscript that the NSA ordered me to remove (and I had to comply by law). But there are things elsewhere in the novel that they apparently didn't look closely enough at and didn't censure. I decided I didn't have to do their job for them and left those things in. (I didn't believe anything they ordered out was actually classified. I think they freaked out at exactly how much detail I included about certain spaces inside that building).

and I had to comply by law

Why not just form a secret court with your mates, and "reinterpret" the law to whatever you need?

        • censor, not censure

  • I'd be interested to know if spy agencies gather information for national sports teams???

I'm looking forward to reading the book, thats oo!

    • I can tell you that inside the NSA we were far too busy trying to stop terrorism to do much else. And we weren't authorized by law to do anything else. But who knows what those French spies are up to… :)

    Snowden, is that you?

    • +1

Ah, Snowden. I'm sitting in Bucharest Romania sipping red wine that is ridiculously good for the price. Out of the goodness of my heart, I hope, while he continues to languish in that Moscow Airport, that someone's keeping him in alcohol.

Here's my only Snowden related post on my blog:

Why don't you visit him and bring a bottle of that red along. I am sure he would appreciate the company of a former colleague. Should only be 2 hours flight time.

While I got your attention (if I do): what brings you to the conclusion that the US is the greatest country in the world? Sitting in a place like Australia not a single thing springs to my mind in a rush that would be better over there. Bigger, sure, but better?

        • One thing: Costco

        • +1

          There's a Costco in Melbourne…

        • And Sydney. Ah those poor Queenslanders.

        • Not Costco the way they have it in USA. Thrice the product and half the price.

        • -2

LOL! And my wife and I love our COSTCO!

He would not appreciate my company because I consider him a traitor. But in that Moscow Airport, I would likely clink glasses with him. I have a message for him:

Is being a traitor no longer a big deal?

"It's a dangerous world out there"
I wonder who made it dangerous.

"They described the apparent fact that the United States conducts electronic surveillance. And it's completely legal."
          LMAO.

"And it's heavily supervised by Congress."
          ROFL

I like your funny blog. Would love to see if you can write something serious. Seriously.

        • +1

Eh, he did what he did because he thought it was morally right, regardless of the consequences. A move that millions around the world agree with.

You did what you did to write a shit book that people won't pay full price for, and to try and make money. You are even hinting that there are secrets that should have been removed, but they weren't paying close enough attention.

I know who I respect more.

So how do we know that by downloading this, it isn't actually a virus that will go through all our emails and Internet accounts without any consent what so ever? Oh wait… the NSA already does that…

I'm more interested in why a former NSA agent would advertise their novel on ozbargain?

  • Thank you, looks interesting. Also signed up for the Spanish course last time :-)
