    I've always wondered why there has never been an industry standard to include the word "extra" where appropriate on warranty extensions. Every damn time you've got to figure out whether they mean inclusive of or on top of the standard warranty.

    You're saying it's a 2 years extended warranty, the image says 3 year extended support plan. Just by adding the word extra you clear that up. "2 extra years extended warranty".

    Anyway.

        ACCC, Fair Trading, Small Claims Tribunal. But businesses usually give in and repair your product with the mention of "consumer rights," "Consumer law" or "ACCC"

      The extended warranty plan does work for Refurbished laptops as well as long as

      you purchase within the Notebook's / All-in-One's voluntary warranty and have it activated.

  • So what does this extended warranty provide over and above Australian Consumer Law?

    • Have you ever claimed anything based on the Australian Consumer Law? If so how?

      In my opinion that law is a very nice piece of fictional writing, a pretty but toothless tiger. It gives consumers totally unspecific rights with a completely unspecified way of enforcing them.

      Unless you yourself are a lawyer you will not stand to benefit from the Australian Consumer Law. If the Small Claims Tribunals had not been abolished at about the same time the Consumer Law came into force it could have proven at least somewhat useful. The way things are IMHO it is not worth the paper it is printed on.

    Just PM'd you but also posting here, do you sell the SSWA-06013M (it's like the WAREXT but extends the voluntary warranty from 1 year to 3 years AND upgrades the warranty service response to next business day on-site in ANZ Metropolitan areas).
    This would be great if it can be discounted from the RRP of $199

  • I spoke to a rude staff member in your store on your phone number. His name begins with Ch*. My enquiry was to know how soon I will be able to pick up an iphone 4 16GB online order which I had placed earlier on Saturday 27/0/2013 at around 01:20pm. Instead of listening to my complete enquiry he seemed to be in a rush and told me to contact on Monday 29 July 2013. The enquiry I was making has not been covered in your FAQ or the email that you sent to me as my payment confirmation. If that is how you wish to deal with the customer who just made an advance payment online, I am pretty sure you cannot win many customers with that kind of customer service. Email states that you will contact me once order it ready for pickup however it does not state in how many days? Very disappointed with your customer service.
