Kenwood Kmix 4 Slice Toaster - Black - $25 + Shipping - Grays Online

100

Was just cruising around graysonline after missing out on the $20 off a minimum $40 spend code.

Anyway spotted the kenwood kmix 4 slice toaster in peppercorn black is $25 + shipping (shipping is pricey at roughly $25). But at about $50 this still compares well compared to bing lee who seems to be the next closest at $69. This toaster routinely sells for between $70-$100 on shelf in stores.

I've had the 2 slice for a while and not only is it a great durable toaster it looks great too.

There is still a code floating around; just not on public scale (OzB Deal). Check your inboxes/spam. 1300 clicks; 64 upvotes. A lot of people take these codes but can't plus vote; sponges.

    • Yeah I have no doubt more codes exist too…i haven't been lucky enough to either get one myself or use one that's been posted before its expired like 95% people!

simple, we create a system where the code won't appear until we click +

        Ummm… but that is silly.

It's like the lameness of Facebook Likes in order to obtain a product sample. You know, where you have to "like" a product before you can test it to see if you like it.

What use would it be to have to vote + here in order to get the code or deal? A code that didn't work could get hundreds of votes, because nobody could determine if it worked until after they have voted positive.

And if votes could be withdrawn, all I'd do is vote, get the code, then un-vote. That's what I do for the Facebook deals. :-)

24 bucks shipping to Melbourne.. i think not!

  • grays is a snide supplier
their costs have add ons eg bidding costs and their ship costs are high for such small items.
ahve bought unnecessary things and then found the cost ballooning out because of the way their structure hides these costs

    • Items that you bid on have gst and buyers premium, items you purchase on grays are the advertised price.

      • i know. wanted to warn others in case they got tempted to then bid on something else

Was better last night with the $20 off coupon :)

  • These had cash back a few months ago, not sure if its still on

  • Shipping as noted on earlier post is expensive.

I got one of the 2 slice Kmix toasters it is useless and featureless. Does not toast evenly and big slices of bread stick out the top. Buy a $10 kmart cheapie works much better.

Featureless?? What do you want it to do, sing good morning to you? :-p

      • +1

        "…..sing good morning to you?"

Don't think I know that one. If it knew Soft Kitty though ….

      • Well I would like it to actually produce a decent piece of toast, the kmix does not brown evenly on all sides with the side facing the centre still white when the outer side is golden brown. For a $129.rrp it should sing to me.
But seriously, it does not do single sided for muffins/crumpets for example
It is very shallow so anything other than a small loaf does not get toasted at the top because it sticks out the top of the toaster
It does not have a very wide slot so you can't do things like half a hamburger bun

But it does have the trademarked "Sure Grip controls for added grip and user comfort" which means it has a rubber knob.

We've had one for 7 months now, toasts evenly and consistently every time, can fit thicker stuff in too.
Overall much better than a kmart thing.
Not sure what other features you want, perhaps they should put a CPU in there so it can read you the morning headlines.
      Perhaps operator error?

  • What is it with this recent trend for black kitchen appliances … has "black" become the new "stainless steel"?

    • Actually the K-Mix range is very colourful. I have a bright red kettle, a bright orange hand mixer and a red bowl mixer.

  • Grays had free shipping on all Sunbeam products on Thursday, I bought a kettle and was going to buy a electric frying pan as well but thought I'd wait a week so I don't leave myself short.

Not sure what they added shipping prices now when they didn't have them before, on top of that they put the price up by $10.

Also a few weeks ago a bought a big towel that took up 90% of the box and a small digital radio. I had to pay $9 for shipping for the radio that come in the same box as the towel and they say they don't combine shipping as they send it in different packages. I've had 5 items come in 1 box before but they were all free postage.

I still really like shopping with Grays but their ways of doing business is strange at times.
