Thanks, was looking for a good deal on tickets.
Whats the age limit for child?
From FAQ's
Children must be 15 years or under to redeem the '$5 Kids Tix Offer'. The cinema may request that some form of ID is presented to verify the child's age.
does anyone know the expriy on these?
It says:
You can redeem your vouchers at more than 60 cinema locations and enjoy them any day of the week, except after 5pm on a Saturday. Plus they're valid for 3 months from date of purchase.I actually purchased them on Wed night and they were displaying Oct 31. that's almost 4 months.
Seems Optus are copying Telstra's "thanks" $10 adult movie tickets
Optus have been doing $10 tix longer than Telstra. $5 kids tix is what makes this deal a bargain.
Shaneo is correct
Have been using Optus $10 tix for long long time
Sorry, my bad.
I can go to Event Cinemas Glendale at any time, for any standard movie (not 3D, Vmax etc) on any day for $8.50 adults and $6.50 child…plus the popcorn is much cheaper than Hoyts
how do you get $8.50 tickets for event cinemas? best deal i know of is the telstra $10 one.
He is right, you can. How come there are different price structures?
Glendale tickets,
https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/ticketing/step2?sessionid=38…Where I live tickets,
https://www.eventcinemas.com.au/ticketing/step2?sessionid=38…My best guess is that Glendale is a low socioeconomic area and they will charge what the market will tolerate.
So will it work with home broadband numbers as well or only mobile numbers? (sorry never seen this before, noob ozber)
Not sure what you mean by home broadband number but you can register with any valid optusnet.com.au email address.
Note Optus offers Hoyts cinema tickets whereas Telstra offers Village ones.
The problem or inconvenience with Telstra you need to buy and book the tickets with the movie session times at the time… unlike these they are prepaid vouchers.
Unless there is another way to purchase prepaid from Telstra?I use the Telstra tickets regularly and unfortunately no there isn't a prepaid option.
Agreed,Optus/Hoyts offer gives 3 months + to use the tickets at any of their cinemas around the country.
Whereas the Telstra/Events Village cinema offer you have to specify the cinema, the movie, the session time and the seat you want and you can only book up to 6 days in advance.
That makes the Optus offering far more attractive subject to your proxcimity to the various cinemas.I would disagree especially if you have any idea how to use a smart ph. Basically can book tickets to any session in about 30 seconds and then go in the priority que to collect them….why would you need to book a session more than 6 days in advance? I usually decide what I'm going to see 30 minutes in advance!
Looks like Optus fan boys are out in force! This offer has cheap and nasty cinema choices but I guess Optus customers can relate to this with their cheap and nasty mobile service.. Lol
Uhh. What?
This isn't a Hoyts vs Village debate .. Each of them have great and poor cinemas…
Thanks OP
Thank you OP. These are great deals. But Im a member - why do they never send me these offers sigh
Is it possible to get the 1 adult ticket and more than 1 child ticket in same transaction?
