Original post:

Because the HelloFresh deal was oh-so-popular (sarcasm; it was a fiasco) here's a similar deal:

We're stripping off half for 4 weeks!

Save $60* this month and try our Seasonal Fruit & Veg box delivered to your home. Includes free delivery

$15 each week for 4 weeks

Terms and conditions apply. $15 seasonal Pick and Pack Fruit & Veg box will only be available to customers who live in a serviceable area and place a minimum of 4 consecutive orders with Aussie Farmers Direct.

Based on experience, this is the cue for a bunch of naysayers to come out of the woodwork complaining about how bad the quality of the produce is, etc. etc. For what it's worth, the box that I received through the Amex deal was perfectly good. I didn't have any problem with the quality or freshness of anything in the pack. My delivery area is 2117 so your mileage may vary if you live in some other area.

Furthermore, this is primarily for the convenience, NOT the price. If you buy groceries only when they're on special, or in huge boxes from a growers market, this will not compare. Not even close. So if you came here to complain about inflated prices - I know.

Edit 2 - One other thing to keep in mind:
they sign you up for a subscription whether you order one box or multiple boxes, so you have to remember to cancel after your deal is finished.

  • Its a shame it includes vegetables, I probably won't use all of them…

Good deal though. I received a box from a previous deal and it was definitely better then supermarkets and fruit/veg shops.

    • It might inspire you to learn new recipes which can save some $$$

  • Whats in the normal $30 box?
    http://www.aussiefarmers.com.au/products/greengrocer.php#fvb…
    I cant find a $30 box?

    • Good question. It does mention the "Pick & Pack" which is the one listed at the bottom of the page with no price. I guess for the sceptical, it does beg the question of exactly what they will include in the box, although I'd expect you can add whatever up to $30 value.

      • ah ok, I see now but cant see Pick & Pack prices without login :(

  • wow can't believe people pay $30 for a box of fruit and veg :O

Where do you go for the $15 x 4 weeks box is there a code?

    • It says you do, but I tried anyway.

    • Sorry, I accidentally deleted the original deal and replaced it with the better one. Here's the link to the 4 week one:

  • You don't have to be a new customer, received a call confirming today and she mentioned how I was an existing customer.

  • Unfortunately Aussie Farmers Direct is unable to service you at your current address, however we are aiming on increasing our delivery locations as fast as possible!

If they cannot service Melbourne - it would more like they want to simply add new members to their list!

  • I signed up last week and was lazy too answer their phone call until today.

You actually still pay Aussie Farmer $26.00 but $6.50 goes towards a small fruit and vegg box and you have $19.50 on credit with them… a bit deceiving but maybe I didn't read the terms well enough.

    • Isn't that because you have to sign up for a minimum of 4 weeks?

      4 x 6.5 = 26.

      • I signed up for the bao bag 6.50 deal. I do not see anywhere where it states a 4 week minimum. I believe the 4 weeks is a different deal. I think the bao deal is $6.50 the first week and full price thereafter - $26.00.

        • Yeah my bad. I did the same. Although I'd have to cancel it before the fortnight is up.

        • Did they also charge you $26.00 to them but 6.50 towards the small veg and fruit box?

    • Really. They didn't explain that to me. Is that the $6.50 deal?

      • Yes

        • So with the credit, does it go towards the next fortnight's purchase, thus paying $6.50 more for next small fruit & veg?

    • I don't buy it (literally :-P) - if that's what they're telling you then you can safely argue that it doesn't say anywhere in the Terms and Conditions that you have to commit to paying $26.

Pretty sure the deal is only 1 week/1 box.

      • I was told I'd be charged $6.50. To be honest I don't mind too much because I am looking to purchase other things too but others might mind. Or am a special case?

        • No I don't think you are a special case (sorry). I think they are just a bit confused. I was sent an invoice that had a $26 charge on it and queried this as I was told I'd only be charged $6.50. They wrote back with:

"Please be advised that as you have the below promotional code applied onto your account, your account is currently in credit by $19.50 which will be included onto your invoice once billed."

I then asked if I cancelled the order before I was sent another box if I would be refunded the remaining $19.50? Then I got:

"Thank you for your email and apologies for the confusion caused.

Please be advised that as you are expected to receive your order of Fruit & Veg Couples (Small) this afternoon, your account balance is now $6.50, and you will be billed for this amount on Friday 26th which will then take your account balance to $0.00."

          Sounds fine to me.

        • So that means $32.50 for 2 deliveries?

        • +1

OH misunderstanding now understood after much debate with my husband. I suppose because they bill you after the delivery they give you 19.50 credit in advance to make the regular 26.00 go down to 6.50 but I saw the TOTAL $26.00 after I logged on and I thought.. I don't know. Very very bad misunderstanding. Can I delete my post now hhaha

Letsget - It'd be 6.50 for the first box and 26.00 for the 2nd but you can cancel after the first box.

        • Understood. Ta!

  • I think the links have expired

    • Thanks. Marked deal as expired.
