Better then the other deals. But i still think 3ds xl is the way to go.

    • You'd think so, which is why I bought one… but such a large screen with a vertical resolution of 240 pixels looks digusting :/

It's hardly disgusting. I have a Vita and yeah, sure, the graphics are beautiful but the 3DS XL graphics are still nice enough, especially if you use 3D. It seems to blend in the slight jagged-ness of the graphics. Even without it on they are fine, if you spend your time counting pixels then perhaps you would prefer an abacus?
Nintendo is about fun, the last six months Nintendo have released hit after hit, they've got an excellent library on the 3DS now.

Don't start a console war. Games have nothing to do with what i'm talking about at all.
I was comparing the 3DS and 3DS XL hardware, and their screens. The 3DS simply looks a lot better.

        • hmmm is the screen much of an issue? I'm in the process of buying one for X and Y and deciding between 3DS and XL. Most people seem to say that XL's bigger battery/matte finish/screen are all pluses over the 3DS. Didn't really consider the resolution much, is it really that noticeable? My main concern was batt life tbh.

The resolution is far from disgusting, I have owned both the 3DS and the 3DS XL, and the XL is definitely the way to go, unless you really want a free game!

        • you'll find that the battery and not the screen will be your deciding factor between the two consoles, the 3ds battery life was quite disappointing for a portable console, i would go the XL for that reason.

        • I have a 20 inch FHD monitor, can I trade it with you 55inch LCD TV? promise you will never want to go back to the TV as its so pixelated.

        • Is a TV $50 more than a monitor? You're a fuckwit.

Admittedly, the first time i turned on the XL I was a little bit disappointed with the picture quality (compared to my vita). Weird thing though… After playing for a day I don't notice it at all and I'm actually pretty impressed with the 3D graphics you can put out with it. That extra screen size and battery are definite pluses!

Pretty good deal still.. Mario Tennis and say Animal Crossing are $50 each off the shelf so you are only really paying $100 for the 3DS!
