      I think your comment is spot on.
      Soundbars in general sound way crappier than their separate speaker counterparts.
      I got a friend who bought a $1000 soundbar, and my $200 mini amplifier and bookshelf speaker setup craps all over his.
      So now we're talking about a $17 soundbar, nothing good can come out of it.

      Depends on your needs, this one is more suited for TV or standalone player with flexibility to use USB or SD Card to play music. The JBL dock is more for iDevices and if you need portability.
