I bought a LG 55" LED 3D (display piece, 55LM6410) for $1100 from Myer last month only otherwise would have grabbed this one.
Also available is Panasonic 5.1 channel AV receiver with 3D capability for $198.
Searched but didnt find anywhr.

shame that Japanese Hitachi are no longer producing TVs - as this is likely the Chinese branded 'Hitachi' - so technically the price is in line with other Chinese panels.

Called up Tempo re the tv as I got interested. They tell me they manufacture and distribute the hitachi tvs (as well as Bauhn through Aldi). Apparently the 55" in new hence not on the website. I asked for details and they sent me the manual (if anyone is interested). Not sure how to attached.
