I emailed them a fortnight ago about their stock level and was told (by Eddie via email) they have zero stock, despite ther website saying otherwise. They have some bodies left and bugger all lenses.
I was ready to buy one there and then with this lens. It's a class leading combo in the price bracket but no go on stock apparently.
Teds are the next best at $636, which is a tad too much for me to bite. But they have stock at least.
The search continues…
Unfortunately it does :( Beginning to drive myself nutty.
5OFFCART to get 5% off Teds :D
So down to $604If you dont mind grey, the Singapore Webstore has the K-30 18-55 Kit Lens for ~$480 AUD depending on exchange rate
Oh nice one. That's a whole lot closer to the 'just buy the damn thing and stop going on and on about it' territory!
hahah, well, imo, if you want the K-30, wait it out a month or so. K-50 is coming to Aussie shores soon, and when it does, K-30 will be discontinued and should sell for dirt cheap, much like the Q when the Q10 was released.
It's tempting to wait for this refresh. The K50 has amazing colors and the K500 will be a cheaper camera (losing weather proof sealing but otherwise same innards). And of course if any stock remains in Aussie retailers then the k30 will be a bargain.
Not a bad price for a decent camera
its a good deal, decent camera + wide angle to mini portrait lens.
for that price is good.Price has gone up to about $600 if anyone is still looking at this.
Just managed to get the cheaper price myself. Hope Dad likes the camera and lens.
Good price for an entry level body and lens combo. K30 is bare bones but sufficiently specced and the 17-70 is a great walk around lens to start one's lens collection (plus the K30 adds Image Stabilisation to it).
Very tempted to get my dad one.
