Couldn't wait for Delivery from the link above so i picked up the TV from TheGoodGuys for $1735 after getting them to beat 2ndsWorld price, The TV is super slim, passive 3D ( $1 Cinema Glasses work ) and I'm pretty sure uses an LG Panel.

Allot of these stores are refusing to price match from online stores that don't have a physical store location and are online only!.. :) so yeah i had to price match a bricks and mortar store.
TV is just amazing!
Most Panasonic TVs have a decent if not excellent reviews! I own a model before that one was released and I'm quite happy with it! Much better picture quality than LG eventhough it uses an LG panel.
Sounds like a similar situation to their monitors, Dell Ultrasharps and Apple iMacs both use LG IPS panels and are highly rated, yet LG have no comparable model of their own.
I've got the 32" model of this tv (TH-L32E30A) and love the colour reproduction and picture quality. Colours on sony and samsung lcds always look over-saturated to me, especially the reds. With proper calibration you could get them better, but my eyes are always drawn to panasonic for some reason.
If you don't want the VIERA ST50A plasma then this is the next best choice in my opinion.
