I've just saw it yesterday at IKEA Richmond. Half a dollar for 250g of coffee is almost free.

IKEA Richmond.
Yeah, I noticed soon after posting the comment, but it wouldn't let me edit it.
My apologies OP
Ah yes. They had them for $2 at Rhodes last week. Maybe even lower now. Reason is they are short dated. But they may be perfectly drinkable as they are vacuum packed. Unfortunately I don't have a filter coffee maker so I can't report, but my friend who does said they were ok. Take that how you like.
The coffees' best before date, already past…
Similar deal was available at Adelaide's IKEA recently. I bought a couple of packs but to be honest the coffee was pretty average (compared to grind your own $10/kg beans). Sure it's very cheap but don't expect a quality cup of coffee. Cheap enough to experiment with and throw in the compost bin if it's not up to scratch.
+1 just for the mention of throwing it in the compost bin :)
Warning…these don't come with instructions or allen keys. Took me ages to assemble them last time.
Nearly expired pre-ground I assume?
This would be dodgy even if it was whole beans.
Expired ALREADY on 19/06/2013 Yesterday
Best Before, not Use By, therefore the coffee hasn't expired. It's going to be safe to drink six months from now. Just not going to taste good.
almost free
Don't buy them Taste bad. I bought them end up in the bin after 1st sip
….bought a pack two years ago…worst coffee i have tasted….
Coffee Drinker : Yuck
Ozbargainer: Cheap Insect killer for the garden. ;-)
Is it the same as the coffee they serve in the restaurant because that's actually quite nice, IMO.
lol.
Which Ikea? It might not be at all of them, especially because WA and SA have different prices to everywhere else.
