  • I don't think you get the ING pay-wave 5% off unless the purchase is under $100

    • You ask to pay $99 chunks mate

Acer V5-571PG Touch W8 Notebook for $639.20($508.24 after OW PM and cash back)

Your price comparisons are misleading, if your going to compare the OW price with cashback you should compare to the DSE price with cashback… You'll only save 5% off the discounted price at OW.

    • You save 5% buying from OW then you claim cash back on top of that, i dont understand how that is misleading?

      • -1

you claim cash back on top of that,

you can claim cashback from DSE too, so the difference is not $639.20 - $508.24

        • what are you talking about?

        • +3

          I did write

$508.24 After OW PM(in this case mean pricematch) and cash back

If you just refuse to understand that then i wont be arguing with you.

        • -4

          You should have said :

Acer V5-571PG Touch W8 Notebook for $540.20 after cashback ($508.24 after OW Price-Match and cash back)

          There is only a 5%, $32 difference, not a $131 difference.

Don't worry about JV, he just likes to troll. Poor guy.

        • -4

          You should know Jimmy6, you've mastered it…

How about commenting about the deal posted, rather than worrying about people's comments to it…

    • +3

there is no reason why you wouldnt be able to cashback the OW model/ anymore than you can cashback the DSE model.

    • The title of the post says "@ Dick Smith" so it makes sense what the OP has written.
if it wasn't clear to you jv then read onwards and OP has written :

This model is also available at OW. So after price-match it will be $607.24
Also get another $99 cashback from Acer to make it $508.24

acer also have bonus 12 months accidental damage insurance via redemption with(as far as I know) any acer notebook

    • ends end of August…

      • Source? That's incredibly misleading to advertise 12 months warranty if it only lasts until August, unless you mean that the bonus 12 months warranty is only available on laptops sold up until august, (ie: the bonus ends in august, not the warranty) in which case that would be a completely irrelevant comment to make.

        • The offer of bonus 12 months ends in August… It's valid for 12 months from the date of purchase…

        • +1

Well thanks, I'll keep that in mind if this deal is still active in 2 months time.

  • Junkyards comment here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/106748#comment-1446314 puts the cashback in question :/

    • +1

yeap it all depends on the SNID

you can always call DSE to check with them, it's written clearly on the box

if Junkyard bought the recent E1-571 on DSE clearance at 249.50 and was frustrated, it's because he did not bother to get the updates from me on the same day and the actual model confirmed was E1-571G, which is not even listed on the cashback list. Because of this little mistake peeps who matched it at OW got it down to 188 after cashback. The difference between the G and non-G is exactly 4 times the graphics power so no one lost anything that day.

so in summary, if the model shown on DSE website is accurate, then most probably eligible for cashback.

      • Cheers

  • but any other brand than acer. I work in the pc industry and they well renowned for being cheap and nasty.

  • Can confirm 49 cashback on the 319 model.. Successfully applied online today.. Price matched at ow and paid 303

    • Awesome cheers for that info.

    • But they don't have the same serial ow Acer E1-531-B9604G50Mn and acer cashback E1-531-B9602G50Mnks.

      • Dear Customer,

Thank you for your purchase of the Aspire E1-531-B9604G50Mnks $49 Cashback (N897). Your online registration for Cashback has been accepted on 13 Jun 2013

  • used ING wave card to get it down to $239.00 thanks op

  • Just bought the v5-571pg, from DSE hoping to claim cash-back. You cannot get cash-back from this model (called Acer). OP you have just wasted my time, have a neg vote.

    • DSE model cannot, but office works can. you should do exactly as op said, go office works, price match, then claim cash back. no problem.

      • how will buying it from officeworks make it magically appear on the list?
        http://ec3.acer.com.au/AcerCashBack/ACA/Projects/CashBack/Lo…

        • It is on the list Aspire E1-531-B9604G50Mnks $49 Cashback (N897)

I just purchased from OW and the SNID is showing as valid for the $49 cashback

EDIT: Sorry, I'm talking about a different model, I dunno about the v5-571pg.

      • I'll try this out tomorrow, the women on the phone did say it was indicative of the 'parts number' not the model number. I will try this out tomorrow and report back.

        • Sorry, my bad. It turn out only the OW model have a cash back offer on it. This is because the OW model have a different processor. I5 3337 instead of i5 3317 of the dicksmith model. So they have a slight different model number. Everything else is exactly the same with ram graphic card and hhd. So you might not be able to price match it at office work. You can try and get lucky but it might not work. So please consider this if you going to OW tomorrow.
Again sorry for my mistake of not noticing the slight different processor.

However I can confirm the E1-531 at both OW and dicksmith are the same and subject to a cash back offer.

    • You could've checked the SNID before buying it. Goto the cash back page and enter the SNID in the register page.
