The Last of US PS3 Game Pre-Order $59.99 from OzGameShop

110

Can't wait for this game. Seems pretty cheap considering Big W is $78 and Zavvi is around $63. Shipping is international so you will have to wait for postage to receive game after it is released. Anyone have any coupon codes?

    Cheap? Yes. .
    Pretty cheap? No.

  • Took the video ezy order for $53! Thanks OP for bringing it up and the next poster for the Video ezy link!

    • You're welcome.

      • your welcome - OP. But thanks to next poster too!

    • don't want to be a party pooper, but there have been some reports of video ezy taking 4+ weeks to deliver.
hopefully this is not the case but… be prepared just in case.

edit: oops, some comments below have already mentioned it.

  • Anyone used Video Ezy before? What's the shipping time like?

    • +2

Long… very long. I'd much rather spend a little extra on OzGameshop. Only ever buy from Video Ezy, WowHD etc if you don't care how long it takes to arrive.

      • +2

Ive had great shipping times from wow hd, faster than ogs even.

It's from hong kong, it's really slow. I pre-ordered Bioshock infinite and it took them a week past release to post it.

      I just pre-ordered from http://www.dvd.co.uk/buy/catlaoups3/the-last-of-us-including…

$55 AUD (They remove tax at checkout)

I've never Pre-ordered from dvd.co.uk, but the blu rays I've got were as fast, if not faster than amazon.co.uk

I got my copy of Far Cry 3 for the PS3 a week after it released locally through Video Ezy. Nothing but praise for them with my own experience.

    • +4

russta, I pre-ordered through them for Bioshock Infinite earlier this year; was supposed to be 9-10 business days but was nearly a month before I got it. Every day I'd come back from the mailbox like a sooky two year-old, eyes brimming with tears.

  • Played the demo, great game!

  • The Video Ezy store has some affiliation/is run by http://www.wowhd.com.au/

You'll notice the store layout/products are identical. I've used WOW HD before (previously CD WOW) and every item has arrived… shipping took a little while if I can remember right,

  • Cheapest i've seen in Aus is beatthebomb for $68 + $2.5-$5 postage. I'll probably get it from them unless there's a cheaper place in Aus anyone has seen?

    • What does "import" mean? They have it listed twice. Once for $90.95 and the other "import" for 67.95. You might be waiting for them to source it from O/S anyway.

      • UK version of the game. The $90 one is a local Aus copy. No difference in content, one's just cheaper.

      • import means its an import. pretty self-explanatory really.

        • lol good one hahahahaha

  • good price

  • +1

It WAS $56, they actually bumped it up! I really dislike Ozgameshop now with their sneaky practices.

  • +1

i am pretty, in just one week time after its release, the price will drop to below $40. if its a really great game, i will buy when the price below at least $30.

    • +3

That's alright for you good-lookin' folk, what about the rest of us with ugly mugs? Why should we have to pay through the nose?

      • +2

we ugly folk need to band together against the tyranny of beauty and all its associated perks.

    • +1

      lol

i am pretty *sure, in just one week…….

      lol

You can't really compare the price of an overseas Internet seller to that of a local seller like Big W where you'll receive it on the day of launch as opposed to having to wait a week or two for it..

    • Big W rarely has adequate stock of anything good.

Receive it on day of launch? Good luck with that.

      • You must live near a sucky Big W. My two local ones always have surplus stock.
Regardless, JB would price match the $78.

  • -8

    Eh, not a local copy.

Support the Australian distributors, and get the game earlier.
And you can get the preorder DLC if you get it locally.

    • +3

If i supported the local distributors instead of importing i would have spent $1000's extra a year on games.

    • +2

Australian distros are the ones ripping us off and charging us the "aussie tax". I'd rather they join the Centrelink queue than support them.

    • Import more and local retailers might get the hint that were sick of paying almost double compared to the rest of the world. They will have to play a big part if we want publishers to stop ripping off Australian and New Zealand gamers.

      • +2

It's actually not the retailers that are ripping us off, it's the distributors they get their stock from. Retailers make tight margins. The distros are the ones profiting from a high exchange rate. The retailers could of course start selling grey imports like Kogan.

  • Is there a network pass with this game? If so, would a UK online pass work with an AU PSN account?

    • Uncharted 3 had an online pass, so best guess is that this probably has one too.
EU, UK and AU PSN stuff are all considered the same (which is odd, considering how awful ping times to the EU are) so there should be no issue with it.

    • I for one will be buying the game for it's campaign - not online multiplayer access. But that's just me.

  • I think it's 39 pounds on EU PSN. It's not bad since digital download are usually more expensive than a physical copy.

  • Its $64.99 now, jumped up almost $10 from 1-2 weeks ago. Probably cause of the good reviews. I would rather buy it local or elsewhere.

OzGameshop has become immoral. I don't know what happened but since a few months ago, they start taking advantage of their loyal customers.

    • What did they do?

  • Check the price it's now $68.95

Was around $55 1-2 weeks before release as far as I recall
