  • As usual no stock………. Man I've had enough of these DSE so called deals it is becoming such a joke..

    • You should neg in protest

      • +2

Ive done that ages ago, and I got negged and attacked to death

        • +2

There's stock in regional queensland: Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Yeppoon, etc.

So it's not that people can't get the deal, it's just that you have to be in the right area to get it.

    • +8

You've had enough? I think it's awesome that fellow OzBargainer's are taking the effort to let us all know about these deals. Sure, not everyone can manage to snag a deal every time, but at least they're sharing what they've found.

I personally think of it as an Easter Egg hunt every time someone posts a low stock deal from Dick Smith. I get an adrenaline rush, and look for nearby stock online/call up. It only takes about 2 minutes of my time. If I can't find any stock, then bummer - but thank you to the poster nonetheless for giving me the opportunity to even search for stock in the first place. If they hadn't have posted it - I wouldn't have known that deal even existed in the first place mean P(finding stock) = 0.

      Statistics 101.
Yeah, I'm failing my exam on Monday.

Anyways, what have you recently posted on this site?

What statistic are you referring to?

        What does it matter?

What statistic are you referring to?

P(finding stock) = 0. Probability of finding stock (which is the event) when you have no information of the deal is nil.

workwear is complaining about deals when workwear him/herself barely contributes to the community. Stop complaining, while others are trying.

Also, as mentioned in previous forum posts, if one does not wish to be updated on certain types of deals, they can choose to block the deals in settings.

That's the beauty of it. He can complain as much as he likes, and you can't do anything about it.

        • That's the beauty of it.

          Beauty of what?

I dont think he could ever catch up some others who may remain nameless (or backward named even) who has never posted a deal but constantly has a go at others and hands out putdowns and attacks others who are just trying to help out.
Honestly I dont get the point - hunting for excuses to hand out a neg or a nasty comment just scares people off from posting from my perspective - but hey, each to their own.
Thanks heaps for trying OP :)

justcallmeboss - i believe he feels that is the beauty of OzBargain - some people think it is great to be able to just whine and complain and put people and deals down and never contribute anything and feel that is just as good as the people who bring deal after deal to the site. of course i may be wrong but it appears to be what he is saying.

    • Seems to be some stock in Adelaide. Modbury has some according to my recent check.

Looks pretty groovy, sold out in Brisbane city though.

  • Few stores near me have them, dunno if I need more crap taking up space in my house. I've already got a jambox for my portable music needs.

  • is this better than a jambox? i already have one and am considering if this is more powerful?

  • none in darwin

I love the design, but unfortunately TDK have never been known for their sound quality (and that's putting it nicely).

Rhodes and Fairfield in NSW say 'ín stock'. Carlingford and Parramatta say 'low stock'

  • Might go and try and find one. Thanks OP!!

Haha one of the rare deals that has local stock for me. :-D

  • +1

In stock at Dapto if anyone lives down that way.

  • +5

In stock for me but I bet I would never actually use it.
Its like you "imagine" yourself arriving at a beach party or something with it and pumpimg out the tunz…but in real life would never need.

    • Lol yeah, and everyone decides to go in the water cause they don't like your music haha

      • +2

thanks for the vote down. Must have been from one of those today tonight parents that can't control their kids. :)

      • +2

Easy fix, just play something with a really deep bass and they should pop right back out?

        • tweeters were pushed in too unfortunately :(

  • My store says "In Stock". I take it this means the manager just bought the last one.

  • +1

    Box Hill Victoria shows stock

    • Is it worth buying one in your opinion? Already picked up the creative t3 the other day at dick smith camberwell.

  • saw this today in my local store today, was thinking about getting it but seems like its not going to get much use

  • +1

Just bought one from Burleigh Heads.
Three left, one is broken and one will be taken by the storeworker.

Just had a quick test, clarity isn't great and bass is a bit muddy with Bring Me The Horizon.
Ministry of Sound and dancier stuff is far better though.
    Overall top purchase! Cheers OP

    • Dumb question, but as with headphones, isn't there a burn in time for speakers as well? Like after 100 hours of music, it'll sound better?

  • Amazon reviews criticise build quality mainly. Also it's $171 on Amazon, so I guess you can be a little more forgiving at $49.:-)

Bluetooth (wireless) connection on wired AC power.

Can anyone in this forum who got hold of this, please share scan copy of receipt?
Shall try price matching in JB

    • let us know how this goes but i dont like ur chances cause its like 170 there..

      • Hey jmac, yeah snapped one for 49.87 from JB hifi Sydney George street. Atleast that was a bnib piece. How do i upload the photocopy of receipt?
        Sry for the ignorance.

        • My mate and I picked up the last two units at JB on Warrigal Rd, Chadstone (VIC). Called before and got confirmation that they would price match before going down. jmac is right - they were on display for $170!

  • +1

Good quality at a great price - sound is good to very good - loud eniough to annoy the neighbours in my apartment block - thanks OP.

For those doubters - there still seems to be CBD (< 12kms) stock in Brisbane Sydney & Adelaide

  • +1

went searching for one today… they were low stock in three stores all damaged by stupid people and liverpool said it was in stock but apparently it was an error.. the storeperson sounded like a few people had called about it
