This deal just got posted onto Facebook. Seems like a killer deal for those wanting a cheap SSD. Deal is active on Wednesday in store and online. Goodluck.

thanks jackau but where i dont know what size the drive casing rack should be….I heard there are different SSD thickness. And when you say flash install did u meant fresh? or something else?
my bad for spelling
it is fresh installation that i meant.
Win 8 is recommended. The M5S on sale now are standard 9mm thick 2.5 inch form factor models. Should fit most notebooks (not ultra books)
Try to see if you can slot ur old hard drive with any tray (caddy) it had on itself to the second hard drive bay and see it it fit and secured.
The SSD dont have moving parts and does not require much securing aside from fear of it dislodging from the connector. It is easy to find those hard drive tray / caddy /rack in E(vil) bay! , just enter ur model and hard drive as keyword, if there is one, should be about 10 AUD or so.
thanks for your help mate! :)
So much for "Wednesday only" when my local MSY is out of stock already ;(
Good post OP!!
Will need to pre-sale the presale next time
Anyone do an over the counter transaction in Balcatta without placing an order first ?? if so what time did you do it??
Out of stock… sigh.
Got one. Thanks. (Varsity QLD)
Ordered yesterday. Paid today via ING Paywave. Didn't even charge me credit card surcharge. Extra 5% cashback = win!
didnt order online thought specials are always first in first served…sobs
When I picked up mine (pre-order), there was another guy behind me. It seems that the store (North Melbourne) allocated some for today's special and he bought one too. He did not pre-order. I thought it was nice that they allocated some for customers going into the store physically (without pre-order) today.
Pity most MSY stores don't pick up the phone calls consistently, otherwise you can check to see if they still have stock.
I tried to call after came back home…and they said the same store i went earlier just had some more ssds delivered…then i ordered two immediately…LOL…
and i saw the external HDD sale ad too.I had an MSY store called another MSY store and they didn't pick up, on their phone as well. Awks…
thanks for your advice mate!
I re-check website again at 5 and sure enough they had stock (on the same bloody store that told me no stock and cancelled my order)
so got my SSD's today before closing time (and they still had extra's!!)
thank you ozbargain comments section you give hope to those who finish last!! scored this and oral-b deal like a miracle after they went out of stock :D
Does anyone know if they are reserving pre-orders at Auburn? As in, if you pre-ordered, will they keep the stock for you or has it all gone already?
They will hold your order for 48 hours (as indicated in the e-mail). So, pick up before COB Friday should be okay. It is best to call first… except MSY don't always pick up calls (not because they don't want to, but busy serving customers).
they were very strict on the 'today only' rule, and will hold stock but not the price
you need to talk to them and they might honor the deal
Adelaide CBD has pleeenty left. Just went to get mine :)
Lost the receipt on the way to the train station though :/Looking on Staticice this appears to be a great price :D well I have mine to maybe replace a OCZ Agility 120gb ssd I see it is twice as fast by the specs on the box. Only thing is I haven't had any trouble with the OCZ, seems like a very good drive for the time Ive had it for.
Had no trouble ordering and picking it up from the Cannington WA store.
Checked just after lunch and North Melbourne was showing as out of stock. Just checked again and they're showing stock now, so I grabbed one. Don't know where I'm going to use it just yet, but hey the price is excellent!
Just realised this doesn't fit in my laptop. Anyone interested in picking up an unused unit in Sydney please PM me.
picked up mine 2day- thanx again op :)

yes, provided u can access the hard drive bays yourself
the XPS-17 has two hdd bays, you will have to pull the original HDD from the bay and put the SSD in there as boot drive. Then buy a hard drive casing rack for the dell model and put the old hard drive in to the second bay.
flash install of Win 7 or win 8 is recommended.
