    • Eglobal shipping cost kills the deal it add around $50. Mwave is only a secondary headset. Doesn't include the base transmitter.

      • Not sure why shipping would be 50. I was going to get RS170 + HDR170 and then the shipping was only $40.

  • Not sure if the Eglobal cans are grey imports but DAMN thats a good deal!

  • my bad

  • Tempted with eglobal but not sure how good they are.

  • I'm in a chat with them right now trying to get all of us a shipping discount.

    12 month warranty btw..

  • They won't budge on shipping.. $39

    Tried my hardest.

Still a good deal.. They ship from Hong Kong but apparently have 12 month warranty.

Does anyone worry for using wireless headphones which are next to your head for hours on end?

    • I've been using my RS120 for a while now and so far so good. Fingers crossed.

  • edit

  • did you get one annon?

    • Was for my sis in law. Now i want one! I've put my rs120 for sale. If I can sell it then ill upgrade. :)

  • These are analogue but I have two pairs and they are pretty darn good, plus they have the charging base station…

  • Slightly off-topic but I love my RS170's

  • Thanks Op.My RS120's are giving up after several years of service. They are bloody comfy but the Mrs. can hear my gaming two rooms away, so was in the market for the closed back version.

  • Just got em delivered very impressed. Was concerned about the interference especially as I live in a unit block. No interference what so ever. Also very quick delivery ordered Thursday received yesterday. Would highly reccomend.

Also sound quality is great, much better then my RS120 no hissing noise what so ever. Sound better then the HD218i that's for sure. Great for movies. But for music ill stick to my M50.

Only issue is that it's a bit clampy but I'm sure it'll loosen in time. Also I do have big head.

    • Same here, delivered today, charging now so havent used yet but glad to hear they really are a step up from 120's.

      • Let me know what ur impressions are.

        • I am very impressed with sound quality, listened to some music I had previously enjoyed on the RS120, and I heard new sounds/music on the RS160's I hadn't heard before, and best of all, they're quiet to outside listeners (wife couldn't hear me cranking the music the other night, whereas previously she could hear it down the hall and in another room)…

          Couple things for noting though;
          1. The RS160's do not have a foam pad right in the middle of the headband, whereas the RS120s did. I can feel the plastic against my head which is slightly uncomfortable, but i may play with where i sit them
          2. Portability with new transmitter is an awesome feature, one i'll use when traveling and using my mp3 player, HOWEVER..charging these guys is a bit more involved. Previously i just put headphones on cradle and they charged, these need to be plugged in, via a dongle which also powers the transmitter, therefore headphones have to be left sitting on the tablet etc. etc.
Might end up leaving the RS120 cradle and hanging new headphones on them so they don't get dusty from table.
          3. Last nit pick, i cant really see if i have left them on or not. the RS120's gave an awful and sometimes deafening hiss when there was no signal coming through, so i knew to turn them off. These are quiet (a godsend), but i cant tell if i left them on or not, probably something i'll just get used to over time.

For the most part i am very happy with purchase though, just working out old vs. new challenges.
