Flavorstone 28cm Grill Pan $40 Delivered

50

28cm Flavorstone Grill Pan.

I have wanted to try out this cooking range without having to fork out much more for a set. The Danoz website does not seem to show any links to this special but I found it when doing a Google search.

Not sure how long this 'Deal of the Day' special lasts???

  • This grill pan is currently given away free when you order the set of 3 (24cm) for $149 + 19.99 postage. This was to replace the free ninja slicer that was being given away previously.

My mother in law has good reviews about this pan, and wanted to buy the missues and I a set too.

I do not work for TV4ME or Home Shopping Network.

  • I didn't see the grill pan offer with the set. I noticed they are giving away knives in one set and claim that people can keep the saucepan for free if they return the set.

I just read in the product manual that the grill pan is the only pan that cannot be used on an induction cooktop like advertised with the sets.

    • It's not an advertised offer, but if you call them up to order the set of 3 + 1 lid, and ask for the free gift they will say the grill pan is free.

  • There are other offers for the pan, but probably not as great as the Grill Pan:

    • They have round 24cm ($49) and 28cm ($69) frypans in the other offers. I'm going to give the 24cm one a go.

  • I bought one a few months for $49.99 delivered. I'm quite happy with it but things to be aware of: 1) The insider surface is raised indentations (so you can get grill stripes on a piece of meat). 2) You must 'season' the pan before use 3) The handles have a tendency to loosen. 4) The grill pan won't work on an induction element.Other than that, I'm quite happy.

    • Is it seriously non-stick? Has the non-stick effect lessened with use?

      • +1

The most non-stick pan I've ever seen. No loss over time.

    • What do you mean by season the pan before use ???

      • You have to heat and cool several times before cooking, there is an explanation sheet with the pan, or you can download.

  • I believe there is safer ways to get your monthly requirements of polimides and vinyls

  • Any idea if this is any good for cooking (middle, thinly sliced and rindless) bacon? Mum hates the fact that I use her expensive tefal pan to cook my bacon haha

    • Hey glowstix, a great way to get crispy bacon is to put it on a pan or some foil, and stick it in the oven until you can hear popping. It's really easy and tasty.

      • interesting… approximately how many degrees on a convection oven?

        • 150 to 190 degrees should cook it between 10 - 15 mins. it comes out the same pretty much every time as long as you keep an eye on how 'done' you want it.

Just keep an eye on it if you're not confident about hearing popping (which is the bacon fat crisping) or if you want extra crispy, pull it out just before it's burnt. I like to go for super crispy, so I'll leave it in there until it's almost too late ;)

    • yes, that's why I bought mine, works a treat.
