110

In the new Techzone catalogue from TGG is the Eeepc 1002HA that is replacing the Eeepc 1000H for $699. Be aware though, according to reviews it's weakness is that it has a 4200mAh 2 cell battery, which is reported to last around 3-4 hrs. It comes in a new brushed metal design, is slimmer than the 1000H and TGG seem to have the blue model.

  • Good laptop and a good price.

Sure, 3-4 hours instead of 5-6 hours battery, but a nicer look (which is what most people complain about with the previous eeePCs) and a lighter weight (4/5ths the previous).

I imagine the likes of MSY will be around the same price (1000H currently $649) once they get them in stock, but they're not listed yet so this gets the nod.

  • exact specs but slimmer battery and more expensive then 1000H, 2 cell vs 6 cell. Rather run time than glossy plastic.
imagine to have to turn off wireless, BT, and unplug USB gadget frequently. Good price though!

  • we just got one while we were in taiwan and Aus price is actually cheaper by aud$100.
bargain indeed.. for a second I almost wanted to get a second one..

  • wait for the touch eeepc they will come in a few months

  • Be careful with the 4200mAh battery. It's only a 2cell battery. You need a 6 cell to get the most out of the EeePC. This is the first product by Asus in the EeePC lineup to feature only a 2cell. Even the original 7" models had a 4 cell battery.
