I managed to acquire roughly 10k codes so I think I'll just stock up on MS points. The last time I ordered 60+ individually shipped item (the $2 ecko jeans) my UPS guy didn't look so happy. Plus it was kinda awkward for me.

Which forum is used for trading? I have 4000+ codes…

http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=59602502&postcou…

Just used the same code 3 times. No need to keep signing up….
Edit: Looks like it stopped going through after the first three.

Plus for the deal but a pass on the Xbone for me.

    • +2

Exactly, nobody wants the xbox one
Its OzBargain, we are all here for the FREE MS points :D :D

      • +14

nonsense. we all want a Xbox one. for FREE!!

        • +3

So I can sell it for a profit. :)

        • +10

ill smack u on the head. that not the Ozbargain spirit. Ozbargain is about sharing not hogging.

        • +2

Sorry, but I can't share my XBox One. You'll have to pay a fee to play all my games on your profile.

        • -2

Depends on if there's anyone dumb enough to buy it.

        • why is that? new xbox1 not good?

        • If credit is transferable, does it worth to register with 50+ different email address?

  • -1

$10 credit? I'm sure I can find a ten dollar bargain or more upon release or a few months after.

    • Its for notification, not to pretty order / cm it to buying one

      • -1

oh..why would people want to be notified so badly? Isn't that what the internets for?

        • ignore.

  • Thanks for sharing. Been looking to get some points for Ikaruga. Hope this works.

  • The link automatically redirects me to the Australian microsoft store (it detects that I'm from Aus)… where the offer isn't valid. For those being redirected, you'll need to use a us proxy.

  • Not sure why but up until a minute ago it wasn't linking to the same site it is now.
    Working fine now though.

  • I did it but still have not received a email :(

    • Did it say on the signup page that you'd receive $10 for signing up, you might have been redirected to the aus store like me?

      • Got it, took 10min

  • Can you use multiple emails and combine the coupon?
Also where's the best Xbox gold deals I wanna shoot some peoples :)

    • Not sure if you can use more then one mate

    • To answer my own question you can't stack.

  • do we need to change our xbox live id region to USA first?

    • -4

      .

      • +2

why down vote Twisty? He was just making a point.

  • +5

In true OzBargain fashion, I would like to point out that if you are buying the 800 points, go for two lots of the 400 points, and you will save 1 cent over the single 800 point purchase, leaving you with 2 cents, rather than 1 cent after the transaction :)

    • +1

Hmmm…seems you have to spend over $10 though?

    • It's a promo code so I'm not sure if it'll make any difference.

  • +3

spend more than $10 or more for code to work…

    • This is the answer most of your are looking for

    • +25

      Mate, take it elsewhere.

    • +3

      Is it school holidays?

  • -1

    sexy picture

  • +2

Need to change region to US- at the very bottom of the page on the left hand side

  • +1

I added 3 * 400 points ($4.99) to my cart and the code would not work. Removed that and added 1 * 1200 points ($14.99) and it works though…

  • points are not region free

    • So how do we use them on our Australian XBOX's?

      • Pretty sure you can create a US account on your 360 and add the points to that, and whatever you buy should be available if you log out and log back in with your AUS account.

        • this

xbox live subscription is region free though but expensive

  • Hi
    Direct link for the promotion

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/html/pbpage.XboxAn…

    Thanks OP

  • What is everyone actually buying…1200 points for $5?

  • step by step, please? untill redeem the credit to buy something..
    im with AU account….

    • If you buy points on the US store the redemption code won't work on an AU account, you need to have a US account

  • I had to pay via paypal. US store didn't like my AU credit card. PayPal is pending, saying it needs processing from Microsoft. Hope they don't cancel!

    • The US$10 is supposed to be free credit for signing up, why and for what are you paying by Paypal?

      • +1

        Microsoft points I'd say.

        • +1

          Yep, microsoft points.

  • Tried to buy MS Points on that link but code didn't seem to do anything when applied. Should this be applied directly on Xbox ? Am on AU account as well.

    • You have to spend more than $10. So get the 1200 points for $14.99 - $10 = $4.99.

      • Except 1000ms points are $16.95 for Au?

        https://live.xbox.com/en-AU/BuyPoints

        • The $10 off code doesn't work on the AU store, I think.

        • well crap.

Can points bought on the US store be used on a AU account?

        • +1

          No

      • so we need to change region to USA then buy that 1200 points, and then change back to AU region later? will the point stay with AU account?

        • You can only move between Xbox LIVE regions once every 3 months.

          https://live.xbox.com/en-AU/AccountMigration

        • Points need to be paid for on the US Microsoft site, you then get US Microsoft Points, and you redeem those points on a fake US Xbox account. This is the only way. Not sure if that answers your question.

        • +1

Pretty much, should be added to the deal description :(

  • i would pay $10 for an xbox one.

  • Has anyone successfully applied the points to their account?

  • i wonder if you can use the code to buy ms office thusing getting $10 off?

  • +3

I can't believe how ugly that new console is, I'm genuinely surprised. It's like a 90's square version of the Xbox 1

    • it's like a 80's game console and xbox one will not support 360's games there which makes it more like 80's. :(

    • +2

I actually like that it's square, means it will not look so out of place on top of the other AV equipment. Unfortunately (so I've heard) despite having a flat top you can't stack stuff on top of it cos of air flow :(

    • +1

Your PC tower is also square isn't it?
All the high end audio components from Denon, Marantz, Pioneer etc. are also square.
Good things come in square packages.

  • signed up 30 mins ago. and then?

haven't got any email from them.

    • Did you make sure it didn't redirect you to the AU site?

      • i used the direct link to the US store.

  • Microsoft cancelled my paypal payment… tried to buy 1200 MSP. Tried also buying using an AU credit card, didn't work. Has anyone got this to work?

  • +3

Bought from US store and PayPal. Order marked as complete but no code given. Called Microsoft store support and was told that this is a known issue for discount code users, to be fixed in 2-4 hrs.

Still don't know why I bought the points.

    • I have same problem too. checked my xbox live, still no points

    • Same problem. Just says

      Downloads, product keys, and subscription

      Item:
      Xbox LIVE 1200 Microsoft Points

      Page: 1

      • ok, mine one says (after i checked my paypal payment details)

        Note:
        Partner canceled the authorization.

        so no deal

        • I paid using 28 Degrees card. Still no code or cancellation

  • ok so I have $10 worth of credits in the US store, now what do I do to get something of value on my AU account.

  • My payment is still pending through PayPal :S

  • +4

    I believe it was Ozbargain'd -

"We're no longer giving out a $10 store credit, but you can still sign up to be notified of Xbox One availability"

    • +1

Never thought I'd see Microsoft end up being OzBargain'd, but that day appears to have come. haha

    • +1

this true! cant believe ozb has so much power to bring MS run out of $10ssss

      • I'm pretty sure MS haven't run out of $10, they've just stopped caring!

    • +3

It wasn't OzBargain'd, it was Slick'd. Ozbargain is completely irrelevant compared to US sites like slick-deals.

Xbox one cause its gone 359 steps backwards

    • -1

you forgot the "," after one

  • I Don't understand what everyone's problem with the xbox ONE is… Is everyone just whining cos they are PS fan-boys or is it cos they didnt show many games at the event? I have a PS and 360 but in my opinion the ONE looked like a much better console.

      • +1

Did anyone notice this from the article

Once a game is installed, if the owner wishes to use the same game disc with a second Xbox One account, he will be able to pay a fee in order to install the game on the other account using the same disc.

Dont they realise that females also play games

      • I don't see that as a big deal, preowned copies only ever save you $5-$10, and most of the time specials are cheaper than the preowned games anyway.

        • So how do we make money back on games we no longer want?

  • +2

Hard to believe this is the actual name. Xbox One is what I used to call the original Xbox after the 360 came out.

Xbox 1 vs Playstation 4. To someone who is a noob, it will sound like it's 3 generations behind.

    • Xbox 1 vs Playstation 4.

After i watched the Promo Video, i figured out they called it xbox ONE because it has all you entertainment needs in one box … i.e. Live TV, Media player, Skype, Cloud etc

They may also be trying to copy HTC as they called their flagship phone HTC One: Do we see a law suit coming?

      • After i watched the Promo Video, i figured out they called it xbox ONE because it has all you entertainment needs in one box … i.e. Live TV, Media player, Skype, Cloud etc

Well what are they going to call their next console? The Two? The One+? One X?

    • +2

doubt that's going to be a problem. after all, no one thought the xbox 360 was 357 generations better than ps3

      • When it's a 3 digit number, no one assumes it's referring to generations. A single digit number on the other hand…

        • it's not a number, it's "One"

        • +2

Which just so happens to be a number.

        • I know, but same as HTC, Microsoft is styling it as the word One rather than the number 1, to signify that it's the only one, rather than the first generation.

        • -1

Has that actually been mentioned in any MS presentations or is it just people surmising?
