  • Will it be possible to flash this with Google firmware? The promise of stock android and rapid updates (similar to the Nexus line) is very tempting.

    • It will be hard since this is the Exynos version of the phone and not the Snapdragon.

      Give it a few months and a dev will eventually get it threre

      But if youre looking at a Samsung device and are interested in flashing roms and such I recommend you keep clear of the Exynos versions. Look for the i9505. There will be a heap more support for that phone. Generally the price difference between the two models isnt that significant as well.

      • but if you look at xda forum, there is more custom rom for i9500 compared to i9505 at the moment. Sure they're just Samsung rom with the crappy apps and touchwiz removed, but at least they're stable.

  • Any ideas if this is an OS stock or AU stock? What's the difference anyhow? I heard that the OS stock does not come with warranties that is valid in AUS (you can't return it to samsung store in AU if you've got a bad unit).. Please somebody confirm this. Thanks!

    • It's not local stock, if it breaks you can only go to Kogan.
      Australian stock is 4G quad core and international is 3G only and it's octa core (2 quad core).

  • I think you have got this wrong, it clearly says free shipping?

    • fixed! thanks for pointing out

  • 16Gb -> 9GB free for use - After installing 2 gameloft games you will get around 5Gb .

    Also the soft seems to be a bit laggy. All these issues are going to reduce the selling price sooner than later when the novelty is over.

    Go for 64gb SD card for music & videos
