    • Its for the Xbox 360 slim console

      • Can/have you uploaded the receipt as they are still 79 @ carousel wa

    • Aww, it's not fat - just fluffy.

  • This has to be a bargain of the week.

    Agree crazy price!!!
fyi jbhf city doesn't want to price match. So lame.

  • Called them up and they said that it fits the 4gb xbox so I presume it must be slim.

    • Well the XBOX 360 4GB only came as slim so it's that one. It's actually one of the latest XBOX 360 releases.

But i'd presume this hard drive can fit any XBOX 360 slim since they basically all use the same sort of drives.

  • No stock online?

    • Sounds like it's in store only.

  • I called a couple of stores, they had no stock at all, and a high level of incredulity at the $24.95 price…

  • Target must be clearing out XBOX 360 gear since the new XBOX 720 console was just revealed. Supposed to be out by christmas.

  • I just got the last one at unley sa. $24.85.

It states on the box it's for the slim. Also, mine was the star wars bundle. Comes with lego star wars 3.

Funny thing is I don't even have an xbox. Using this to upgrade my 40gb ps3.

    • Yeah i don't think that XBOX 360 hard drive will plug into the PS3. Completely different console maker.

I know sherlock. But it's a hard disk that I'm interested in. You can open these up and use the hard drives anywhere you like.

        • Yeah i pulled a Hitachi 500GB hard drive from a laptop and am using it in my PS3 so they take any 2.5" internal hard drive. I wonder which brand name internal hard drive that are in these XBOX 360 hard drives. It might be a Hitachi or some thing.

        • Pretty sure all Xbox drives are WD. or at least they used to be. There is a special tool for signing the Xbox HDD so they are detected, and they had be to the same model.

If you're after more info, Google HDDHackr.

PS3 doesn't give a crap what drive you put in it though… lol

        • erm… just wondering why aren't you guys putting in those SSDs since they are getting cheaper nowadays and you can almost wipe out the long load times with a SSD?

going back to platter HDDs are a bit pointless especially when its a console game.

        • Because this is $25

        • lol. you missed my point. but hey, enjoy your $70 savings. ;)

        • On Xbox you can be banned from Xbox live for having non genuine Xbox hard drives as far as I know

        • going back to platter HDDs are a bit pointless especially when its a console game.

Most load times on consoles aren't affected that much by being installed on the HDD. So I'd imagine the same again running from SSD. It's more of a RAM/system limitation than a transfer speed.

        • Because you can't. Xbox hdd partition format is a unique one that is attached to hdd's firmware. So far only WD and some Seagate hdds have been tested to work using hddhackr, no ssd.

LOL, anyone else read it as an XBOX Slim with a 320GB HDD for $25? I had to put my slightly larger glasses on!
