        Very hard to say. The new Xbox will be revealed in 6 days, and it's possible that it will be able to play all 360 games.

        It's very likely that the new Xbox won't play old 360 games given it's architecture.

        If it does, it would likely be through some sort of streaming type service/emulation that will most likely suck.

        If you ask me, now's probably the best time to get a 360, because you have a back catalog of 7 years of fantastic amazing quality games, all of which are relatively cheap old stock or second hand.

        The new Xbox will probably be released around Christmas time, and judging by all previous console launches, will only have a handful of games (typically only one of which is worth getting). Most of those games released in the first year will also be dual-released on Xbox 360 and PS3 as well, as developers are counting on the larger user bases of the existing consoles.

        Give it about a half a year to a year, then the more amazing things will start coming to the new consoles and they will be worth considering.

        :edit: that said, don't get hung up on this deal. There will be good 360 deals in the future, particularly once the new console is out and stores start liquidating their stocks.

  So tempted with the Xl's in preparation for Pokemon X and Y. Amazon IT don't ship to Australia any more and this is much cheaper with a price match and a staff discount down at Big W…
  Any of you bargain hunters expect a bigger price drop any time soon?

  So tempted on the XL, again in prep for Pokemon X and Y. I've been thinking about the XL from America/Europe or something for a special edition, but for this price it might be worth just getting it from Australia, hmm.

    But the colours are so butt ugly. I want one all in one colour, will probably wait on a special edition, use it once and shelve it again or give it to the kid.

      There is a All white XL but i don't think it will be $199 like the red,silver and blue xl but try and ask JBHIFI if they can give it to you for that price.It's worth a try.

    I'm also hoping for a special edition too. If Animal crossing gets one, I'm fairly sure their biggest franchise gets it too. I just really want to buy one now
