Not sure why it isn't available at their own official page. I am sure you can use the online chat via the videopro website and get the price down a little as ebay fee + paypal fee is likely to cost them around 7.5%+ - potentially another $50+ off .

I would say yes due to 1080p vs 720p, 55" vs 50" and greater energy efficiency (LED is more energy efficient than plasma)
