I bought LG BP-425 from bigw on last week for $138 thats even better than this I guess, I like the speed and the smart applications and I amazed with the network connectivity and the quality.

I think LG is better as well because it supports 1080P upscaling, BD-live and H264 playback.
I think the Pioneer BDP-140 player does that too.
Please note that the Pioneer 140 can be modified easily (install modified firmware or install a chip - see ebay) to play all regions of DVD AND blu-ray disks!!!!! The LG cannot!
Thanks OP and Reddog888 - stopped by DSE and picked up the BDP 140 after you mentioned it can be modded easily. Reddog888, do you have any experience with this or links for the firmware/instuctions.
From what I can see online there are a few options to mod it:

$99 Modchip which you can install without soldering (just plug in as a passthrough adaptor, is not dependant on firmware, but is currently sold out): http://www.bluraychip.dk/product.php?id_product=22
custom firmware (chinese version, requires payment and activation, ongoing updates and support): no download link found, few forum mentions.
custom firmware (russian version, free, no ongoing updates): few links found in different languages, not very clear.

I got the BDP140 but you will any stores that have them left will be the display models
Nice price. If you can find a Dick Smith store with the Pioneer BDP140 3D blu-ray player that would be an even better deal.
