    Thanks OP, great find!

Been having problems with my ancient Viper remotes, this is cheaper than replacing remotes & I get an updated system!

  • i did a little looking when this first went on sale a week or so ago and didnt go for it. its a bit of an average spec'd alarm from memory and does not have a battery backed up alarm.

This system will work good for me in my situation.

My current Viper is a 2003 model which has external relays for starter kill & domelight supervision whereas this has relays on board. I had also had to replace my battery back siren recently with one from jaycar so I'll link that into this. I had priced replacement remotes for my current one at around $35 ea from ebay US so this I find great value in this offer.

  • Hows this one any better that the cheapies on ebay?

Just wondering :) Id like a new one on one of my cars just for the remotes, dont really want a backup battery alarm as I take the car battery out and the backup battery needs constant use/charge.

    • I can't comment on the quality of ebay ones you may have seen, but many moons ago I installed car alarms for a job & DEI products were reliable.

  • Anyone know of a good installer in Melbourne (East/southeast suburbs) and how much it would cost to install?
