    • +1

I saw it in store but couldn't think of any use for one (for me)

      • which store?

        • +1

I called and confirmed and its all stores Australia wide. Got one on hold to pick up after work.

      • I got the last 2 @bondi last week, didn't think of posting as thought it would b sold out everywhere like alot of the other target stuff

  • wow awesome price, and reviews… I've been after one of these for a while. I hope they have them at my local Target

  • +3

whats with all the tech deals from target lately?

    • -2

IS anyone getting tired of them? :(

      • +4

nope, i was more just curious as to why they are clearing so much of their electronics

        • Clearing out stuff before the mid year stocktake perhaps at end of financial year. Why do you think Target and Dick Smith are clearing things out around the same time.

        • My local target is just a "target country" and it hasn't had any good deal lately >.<

      • +2

        I said sorry

        • +6

nothing to be sorry about, a good deal is a good deal!

        • +14

I demand you Take that apology back! NOW!
You've posted a pretty bloody good deal…stand proud son, stand proud!

        • +1

That bogan condom advertising slogan has ruined these words for me forever.

      • yep, it's so hit 'n miss, this clearance specials are a fawkin joke!

    • +4

New CEO, we got 260 A4 pages of markdowns in store last week, I have been trying to get a master copy to post here, but yeah, stocktake is already done, its not that, its just because the new boss wants all the old stock cleared.

    • +1

Wesfarmers are moving Target in the same direction as Kmart, so I imagine they are clearing stock to bring in more generics and cheaper alternatives.

  • -1

Great price, but no HDMI… Meh.

  • +4

misread this as "Pocket Protector $34.83 was $179.89"

and thought, "man, the price of being a daggy nerd has really skyrocketed"

    • Was thinking exactly the same thing.

  • anyone want to grab one for me???
No stock online which is no surprise seeing its clearance.

  • I just called and confirmed this is at my Target - the lady informed me it is that price at all of the Targets for those interested. In store only.

    • Which Target is yours?

  • +1

Never would have thought someone said SORRY for posting a great deal!

  • +4

I called up the (Melbourne) Bourke Street store and the Chadstone store. But they both don't have stock.

    • thanks for that info ;)

    • I was going to walk to Bourke Street now! Glad I saw this comment

  • could this work with a ps3?

    • +1

      Yes

      • +2

Sweet! So if I combine this projector, a PS3 and this deal I'll be able to play anywhere* and on the go? Good bye PS Vita, there's a new portable console in town!

*anywhere with a wall to project on

        • DONE DEAL! now I need to find a target that has these

        • Dont forget the electricity or you want to use solar power

        • Yep but you'll probably be only be able to play for about 10 minutes before the batteries run out.

        • Actually, assuming a PS3 Slim which is around 150-180W you might get upto to 1-2hours of use.

          according to the rep:

Bare in mind that you're very unlikely to use it at full load and on a standard PC + Monitor will get out around 1.5 hrs of backup time

  • I assume this will require a special cable to work on an android phone with micro use port?

    • +1

Nope, won't work 'at all' :(

Unless the phone has standard AV out (ie composite), sometimes available through a breakout cable that looks like a headphone plug. The output you are talking about is 'MHL' which basically means HDMI.

  • None at Melbourne Bourke St :( Could someone pick one up for me please?
Willing to pay you for it :)
    Thanks

  • I got one and comes with iphone cable so can project from iOs device

Resloution not great but semi okay, great for the price though.

Projects pretty big but internal battry drains fast and it needs to be charged fully before using.

    • What's the image quality actually like? I can't imagine it at 65"!

    • Which iPhone model do you have?

  • +2

    VGA resolution. 640x480.

    Yeah, naaaah…

  • -8

Don't bother looking in Target stores near Hobart, between my family and work mates we cleaned them out of projectors and the Sony Bloggie duo's :)

I have a retired Samsung wave which has AV out, works perfectly with the projector.

    • +1

Why negged for letting people know there was no stock locally?

      • +3

'we cleaned them out' probably attracted the negs. Implies a broden like quality about you.

        • +1

I bought 1 of each and everyone that saw it went and bought 1 of each, meh.

        • Luck of the draw! no need to neg a fellow ozbargainer… haters lol

    • Including the chair?

  • Does anyone know of an alternative to this pocket projector at an reasonable price.

  • +1

I bought the last one of these together with a tomtom GPS from Westfield Doncaster, VIC last week for the same price. So far it has been working great with the laptop, and DVD player. You can see the projection, and is quite crisp in an ambient lit room at 50". The image quality diminishes/gets more blurry after that though ~60".
