Sony 6" PRS T2 E Reader for $79.00 (ship $8.75ish NSW, ~$14.15 WA)

Similar deal to the recently listed JB-Hifi price of $99, only now $79. JB deal is still the best price on statice.com.au Shipping seems reasonable.

Enjoy if you want/need one of these.

why wouldnt you just get a tablet

      Because of a few reasons…

      1. The backlighting of any LCD/SLCD/AMOLED/etc screen hurts the eyes if you read for long periods. Its great for moving pictures and symbols but not repetitive scanning like reading
      2. They're too heavy to hold for any length of time
      3. Battery life of a tablet is usually less than 10 hours. These devices last weeks to months depending on how many page turns and how often you read

I bought mine when it was on special for $118 at JB. So this is a great price. The PRS-T3 is probably about to be announced. Look around JB shelves, especially the back for a discounted case for the T1. Same dimensions and fits well. The only difference is the cut out for the buttons along the bottom is different for the T2. I got mine for $9, normally $45.

      +ive for this deal

Good deal…. but I would have to say that for only a little bit more you can get the Kindle paperwhite which - like the slightly higher resolution kobo glo - is worth considering if you do a lot of reading at night. Had that delivered the other day from amazon.co.jp via tenso.com and all up - including currency conversion - it cost just over $100 delivered….

  • Costco Docklands have $45 discount on the black one with a sony case, it brings the price down to $99. I know ozbargainers don't really like Costco, but they do have looser return policy and warranty.

but good deal for the reader alone.
