4.3" Navigator Woolworths Morningside $20

240

I got a 4.3" navigator for $79 early this year and thought that was cheap, but $20 is amazing. When I saw it I thought it was just a mount, but I can confirm it is the full navigator with mount. Not sure if this is at other woolworths ?

  • How's the UI and stuff?

  • I've already got a navigator so I didn't buy it. I would expect it to be very average like an old Aldi navigator I had a while ago but at least it should have reasonably current maps and be able to tell you where to go.

  • Saw that in Middle-Camberwell VIC a week ago… Seems too "Plastic" and didnt get it, I personally think Smart Touch 2 $14.83 is a better deal, Smart Touch 2 built in GPS Map originally… (Physical Map, Not through data one)

    • You mean your pink st2

Given it's the same price as a pack of Finish dishwashing tablets, low expectations are the way to go !

  • looks like igo8 so forget any future updates

however you can very easily install 3rd party s/w on them

I actually have a preference for igo, I find making waypoints and sorting for the quickest possible trip works well.

  • happen to pick up one today. surprised to find that its quite slim, and its the 4.3in screen too, not the smaller 3.5 inch. good value for money.

  • Has this been spotted at any other stores other than the two stated thus far?

  • Thanks OP.

Just for anyone that is lucky to pick one up, this unit is running Windows Embedded CE 6.0 NDrive 11.4.05 using Nokia Map Version 2.21.

It is not "plastic", the material is "rubberish", very thin and slim with Music Player, Video Player, calculator and ebook reader. Has options to select 2 more optional GPS software, for example igo or Garmin Mobile XT for CE (if you have the license for Oztopo, it will be able to run too).

If you install a file manager, basically any WinCE software could be executed via the file manager.

For this price full set with GPS, we can't even get a lousy Navman's charger.

    Good luck locating one.

    • Hi mate,

Just picked one up was just wondering how I would boot into Garmin XT?

      • Hi,

Prepare your Garmin XT for WinCE in a micro sd card, then insert the card into the gps. On the setting menu, run NaviConfig.

There will be three lines of selection for you. By default A,B and C are preselected. Just click on one selection for example B, a file selection windows will pop up, select your sdcard, then garmin xt's exe. Then go back to main desktop screen. On the top left corner, there is an icon A,B or C, keep clicking it until B shows up. Click on the Earth icon, it will run the selected exe.

        Hope this helps.

        Cheers
