  • dammit…should've saved one for me :(
anything else good at the Ringwood store?

    • The Phillips Straightener + Dryer looks pretty good, for $39 or something.

Looks quite high quality…. didn't need a new dryer since I have a high end Parlux one Made in Italy.

  • Doh.. just got home from Target.. :(

  • Can you upload the receipt please…

  • Plenty at Target Liverpool.

  • None in Canberra City. There was one left in Belconnen yesterday, on display, no box and accessories. The guy refused to sell it because he was convinced it was a dummy.. (it wasn't)

    • Why you'd want the display one is beyond me

    • Similar thing happened to me in Deer Park but the guy allowed me to buy the display model and gave me a discount so I got it for $15.

If it was new tech then I wouldn't have taken the risk on a display model but I wanted a cheap eBook reader and the guy gave me a receipt so I could return it if there were any issues. Main concern was battery but I read that the battery could be replaced so I thought it was worth the risk.

  • Are these any good? I grabbed one yesterday while looking for the wii deal.

    • I find them to be fine. Speed wise, they seem quite quick.
Screen res is a good bonus, so you can look at comics and manga on it.

Reviews on-line seems to rate the device to be quite good, although most of them say, it won't beat kindle, since it doesn't have anything which SIGNIFICANTLY surpasses Kindle.

For $29, it is an awesome deal for something that has a brand name to it. I don't think there is any e-readers which you can get within this price range.

      • Please unbox them and try if they are working.
I bought one today and the screen only shows "the battery is empty, please connect….."even after I plugged it into the computer for half an hour.

now I got a replacement but it is the same thing. Maybe they have kept it for too long the batteries are all dead and won't charge again.

        • Try connecting it to a charger and leave for a couple of hours. My Sony reader also won't charge from a computer USB port.

        • OK I guess I didn't wait long enough the first time. It is now starting up

        • You need to wait about 1-2 hours. Mine was like that too.
          It will eventually boot.

  • Sorry if this is a dumb question, can kindle books be read on this ebook reader? if not, is there a e-store to download the ebooks for this specific reader?

    • Either convert using Calibre or it links to online catalog Google Books.

  • The reviews for this product are not good.

  • Thanks OP.
    Great ebook readers for kids.
Now I can take my Kindle back from them.

  • Finally found a link for the latest firmware that works! (Dec 2012 vers.)

    Link is here

    • Overall faster refresh
    • More responsive PC connection
    • Multi-lingual support
  • I returned mine, I don't need a ebook reader and couldn't be bothered selling it. So one may reappear at East Vic Park. It was unsealed when I bought it, I didn't use it at all but it looked like someone had.
