  • How much are the 24 packs currently?

    • Looks like $18

      • Yep, $18 a slab at my Woolies. Fill up with with 60 litres, save $18 on fuel. Therefore $36 for 72 cans (50 cents a can)

        Bigger fuel tank, cheaper coke!

        • $36 = 48 cans (75 cents a can)

          As a buyer of cans, isn't the normal price $18 for 24, $32 for 48 (2 slabs) and $45 for 72 (3 slabs)?

So for 30c off petrol, you pay $3 more a slab so $9 extra. Guess its worth it if you have a big enough petrol tank.

        • if you have a couple of 20ltr jerry cans or a 44 gal it might make it worth while.

          too bad its a minority

        • I'd like to try that, but these dockets usually have a max fill amount of like 150l, which limits the savings to $45. Even if you do it covertly, which would be hard with there being like 4 jerry cans, its gonna look strange to rock up to the counter paying for 150l with a commodore.

I don't even like coke. But, with petrol at a low point..Can I really afford not to?

        • That's my point. A standard car would take around 60 litres, so you could save $18 in fuel. So with a standard car and 3 slabs you would be $9 in front.

        • +1

Don't forget to take into consideration the current 8c off over $30. So for a standard car, the saving is a lot less than $9. In your 60 litre example, it works out as $9 - $5.40 so only saving an extra $3.60.

        • I used to take atleast 2x 20ltr jerry cans atleast once every fortnight.

Never been asked what the fuel was used for etc

End of the day, I dont know what to do with 72 cans of coke, it would probably go flat before we finished it.

you will OD on sugar before you make it to the pump

    • Too right, that's a hell of a lot of sugar!

      • +1

        Yeah but cheap fuel

      • +1

or get the coke zero if sugar is an issue .

        • +1

..or drink them slowly (over many, many days or months)

    • -6

Sniff some cheap petrol. You won't OD on sugar then

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I TAKE 3 CARS TO WOW/CALTEX PETROL, MINE , SISTER 1'S, SISTER 2 'S MUMS VAN, AND MAYBE A JERRY CAN FOR THE MOWER/CHAINSAW.

WELL OVER 150 LITRES EASY WITH A COMMODORE, A LANCER, A MAGNA AND A TRANSIT VAN

  • Stupid deal. We all know these 375 mL cans are stupidly inflated in price. No idea why they make you buy 24 of something for no real discount - they should be sold in 6 or 10 packs.

  • Anyone know if this is Auswide, tempted seeing as im in Adelaide and would get another $7.20 for the recyclibg of the cans.

  • +1

    $2.22/litre for the coke.
How much is the coke in 1.25L or 2L?

    Edit: 1.25L for $2.50 ATM, do that's $2/Litre
    Edit2: 4x2L for $11, thats $2.75 per bottle; 1.37/litre
