Just find this included in the Mega Monday sale. Could be because Hitman Absolution is added to Instant Game Collection for PS+ next month. If you are not PS+ member or prefer hard copy, this is a good deal.

Ozgameshop includes this on their 2 for $40 if you prefer to buy from them.

Free for PS+ members from may 2nd.

Edit: Maybe I should read the details in the OPs post eh.

    • But once you stop paying for your subscription you lose access to the game. This disc copy you get to keep for good.

Damn, every PS3 game post is going to be a discussion about the pros vs. cons of PS+ so I'll save some time, good ol' crtl+c crtl+v:

Don't let your subscription expire. 10 years of PS+ subscription costs less than $560. That gives you access to more than 650 'Free' games for Playstation 3 and Vita (possibly Playstaion 4?). At less than $1 per game who cares about physical copies and resale value.

When you buy games, it's a yearly expense.
When you subscribe, it's a yearly expense.

If you buy 7 games per year @ $20 each that's $140, and assume you are lucky enough to get 50% of that back in resale. That cost you $70 per year and you still don't own any games. Most people buy more than 7.

PS+ gets you >65 games per year for $70. That's 70$ and you still don't own any games.
I don't think there is a single cost vs. benefit comparison where a PS+ subscription doesn't win.

Even if you let your subscription expire if/when you restart it in the future you still have access to the games you 'purchased' while you were subscribing.

$70 (even if you call it renting) for 65+ games over the next 15 months = a damn good deal. I would usually spend easily over 200$ per year on gaming, now I get more games than I know what to do with at 1/3rd of the price.

PS3 owners would be foolish not to be PS+ subscribers and downright idiotic if they had a PS Vita as well.

Not to mention the fact you can play your single purchase of digital content on more than one console at a time, if your really struggling then go 50-50 on a subscription with a friend, that way you both get a crap-load of games for sweet f-all.

Not to mention the fact you can play your single purchase of digital content on more than one console at a time,

Limited to two consoles (used to be five), but this in itself is a major reason why I prefer digital versions, so the two of us can play together in a non split screen mode for suitable games.

  • Awesome price, ordered this and sleeping dogs…

    • Ahh sleeping dogs, that was free on PS+

      • Not sure why you were neg-ed, but I fix em' good an' proper.

        • Thanks, proper done good.

          haters gonna hate

  • For ~$16, this is a great game to play on console.
