It's free for PSN Plus subscribers at the moment, which for 3 months is only $19.95. Get DoA5 free as well and from tomorrow Okami HD is available for free too.

    • Its a good deal , but you wont own it after your subscription expires

      • +3

So don’t let your subscription expire.

      • +1

True but due to the fact its digital u cant resell so its almost like u dont own it. Plus is worth its weight in gold.

      • +3

Such a shortsighted view. PS Plus is the best deal in gaming.

        • +1

2nd that. Even better with a vita

    • +3

Better yet, get the 12 month + 3 month free for $69.95.

Also, if my understanding is correct, even if you let your subscription expire if/when you restart it in the future you still have access to the games you 'purchased' while you were subscribing.

$70 (even if you call it renting) for 65+ games over the next 15 months = a damn good deal. I would usually spend easily over 200$ per year on gaming, now I get more games than I know what to do with at 1/3rd of the price.

PS3 owners would be foolish not to be PS+ subscribers and downright idiotic if they had a PS Vita as well.

      • +2

I can confirm that is correct after recently returning to PSN+

  • Thats true , when you buy games for cheaper rates with ps+ .

  • I have PS+ and ME3 isn't showing as free for me at the moment :S

      • Still no dice :/

        • Mate that is some bad luck. You need to check your free games each month on the 6-7th, you've just missed out.

          Leaving PS Plus in April:

          • 3rd April: Mass Effect 3
          • 3rd April: Mortal Kombat
          • 3rd April: Guardians of Middle Earth

        • Yeah I understand they leave on the 3rd, but the other games leaving haven't left yet. It just looks like it's been removed earlier than expected is all. I'll send them a ticket and sort it out :)

        • +3

Yeah, the games are in the 'Instant Game Collection' section, but are no longer priced as free.

FYI, part of this months content has been released, but has not been added to the 'Instant Game Collection' yet.

        • Ah dammit. Only saw ME3 as a free game last week :(

        • +1

When you see a game is free simply "purchase" it and then you can download it when you're ready to play. For instance, I simply clicked those three links above that CyberGenesys posted and purchased the games. I might not get around to downloading them at all, but if I want to play them I can.

        • Just saw the instant game collection screen. Thank you muchly

I understand what you are saying guys. It's good for discounted games on ps+ members but I am not a big fan of have to buy the subscription Everytime I have to play the game. Again its a good deal for discounted games. But rented games no

Don't let your subscription expire. 10 years of PS+ subscription costs less than $560. That gives you access to more than 650 'Free' games for Playstation 3 and Vita (possibly Playstaion 4?). At less than $1 per game who cares about physical copies and resale value.

When you buy games, it's a yearly expense.
When you subscribe, it's a yearly expense.

If you buy 7 games per year @ $20 each that's $140, and assume you are lucky enough to get 50% of that back in resale. That cost you $70 per year and you still don't own any games. Most people buy more than 7.

PS+ gets you >65 games per year for $70. That's 70$ and you still don't own any games.

I don't think there is a single cost vs. benefit comparison where a PS+ subscription doesn't win.

Still on 56K dial up, just good enough to purchase a subscription via the web store, yet not good enough to actually use.
Or better yet, a super fast connection but a 1GB data cap, so you could get it super quick, and play no problem, but it will cost you and extra $5435 per MB to download it. Oh the cock tease.

Yeah, I got nothing, you're mad not to get it.
I like how this post has become a PS+ thread.
