Motorola Extends $100 Cashback for Razr M

10

Until 1 July 2013 (or until stocks last) Motorola will be again offering a $100 rebate to those purchasing the Telstra version of the Motorola RAZR M — either outright, or on a plan.

As long as you claim within ten days of purchase, you’ll receive your rebate (as long as you’re in the first 3000 buyers, of course). Full terms and conditions of the rebate are on Motorola’s site.

To be eligible to enter the cash back component, the individual must, during the Promotional Period, purchase any Motorola RAZR M (IMEI number commences with 35320305 that is a Telstra Version only. This can be identified by Telstra Logo on the box and the unique IMEI range) mobile hand phone device from a Telstra store or authorised Telstra dealer store ("Participating Stores").

  • Looking at the promotions of $100 for 1st 3000 buyers, the sale have been pretty bad, with only 125 peoples making a claim. (Based on the remaining unclaimed amount of $287,500 div by $100).

What is the price outright for this?

    • Does not necessarily mean sale was bad. Maybe some people don't know about the cashback.

  • according to Cnet, RRP is $600

  • This is not a bargain. You could get an S3 for less than that

    • I have to agree that at anything over $400, the phone is not worth it. Having said that, I've got this phone myself, I purchased it on eBay when it was first released for $400 and believe that at that price point it becomes a good contender. At the time, the S3 was $100 more and the Nexus 4 was having supply issues, lack of memory card and no LTE.

This phone is great if you're looking for a relatively high end CPU and GPU while wanting to keep the physical size down. I for one (possible in the minority) do not want huge phones and believe that the size of this is just right. Only let down to this phone in my opinion is the poor screen compared to the other high end phones out there.

  • +1

Even if you can get it for $480 at JB, making it $380 after the hassles of cashback, I think a Nexus (better screen, latest Android, with no skins or bloatware) or S3 (better camera and screen) offers more advantages given similar pricing. The pricing would be ok, if S3 were $100 more.

  • S3 is $380
