  • is this worth it? I heard it was a bad console port for the pc…

    • For the price I paid for it when it first came out, definitely not worth it. But for $4.99 for the GOTY version? Yeah, definitely worth it at that price.

What sort of replayabilty of this game thou? I have huge collection on steam and origin of games no one seems to play, its great that games are much cheaper these days but I seem to be parting with money every so often for games that lack replayability or have dead multiplayer.. then move onto next game and repeate

        • There is not much wrong with the quality of the port. It plays well on my laptop (gt 640m card) so most gaming pc's even older ones should play it well.

If you can get into the game I'm sure you could probably find some replay-ability in the game. It has several characters, each with their own campaign. It would probably be pretty similar and rather repetitive though.

I've only managed to sink a couple hours into it trying to force through hoping it will get better, but it's just too boring. I find it very repetitive and the difficulty curve is all over the place - I'll be bored senseless with how easy it is for a while then it ramps up to near impossible, then back to easy (for no apparent reason mind you, sometimes the reload plays out as easy in the very same spot as the hard part). My mate assures me to gets really good, but I am not seeing it.

I wouldn't say I regret the purchase though as I do load it up now and then for a quick straz.

        • The performance is OK.

But the field of view (less than 70) and the constant head bobbing movement can induce motion sickness. I *highly recommend downloading some mods in order to tweak the INI files to better suit your preferences.

If you're sick of the base game you can always install mods though I'm not sure if it will break multiplayer gameplay.

        • For $5 I think you're still getting one good solid play through even if you just play it once. I think it is worth it. I didn't play it at launch so I can't comment on how buggy it was then, but I played it later on and it was a quite enjoyable game TBH. I've placed a preorder for the sequel with the hope they won't release the second one with the same number of issues that the first supposedly had.

For what it's worth, I spent 90% of the time playing it as a single player game anyway.

I paid nearly $40 for a hard copy of this about a month ago. I've played it once. I really wish I'd waited just a little longer now.
