The HX370 is a beastly CPU, atrocious full name aside. Shame I missed this deal but really waiting for Lenovo to stick it in their Legion…

Yeah fair enough. In that case you definitely just want max VRAM. 70B, even in 4bit, can't entirely fit in 24GB. You're best option is 2…

Llama 3.1 8B runs pretty great at 8bit quantisation, which only takes up 8gb VRAM. Are you dabbling in full fine tuning or LoRA weights?

BlockchainBill replied to Shaolinking on Galax GeForce RTX 4070 1-Click OC 2X 12GB GDDR6X Graphics Card $829 Delivered + Surcharge @ Centre Com
This is adequate for stable Diffusion 1.5. As with inferencing in almost all modern generative applications, great would be more VRAM.
BlockchainBill replied to freefall101 on Gamesir G8 Galileo Mobile Gaming Controller A$96.80 Delivered @ GameSir Hong Kong
I'd say the best by a fair margin is the Ayn Odin 2. Comes in a bit over $300 but gets you a top tier SOC, active cooling, nice screen,…

$4k Considering the card made up 3/4 of that on a good day it was honestly a steal.

Looks like they jacked up the price of both by $100. Very cheeky. Maybe they werent anticipating demand.
