looks at usernamelooks at seller ….mindblown

  • Wow surprised ones that old are still running, might check on the one in my collection. Still with a flash card or favourite legit game this is an awesome device.

    • I have one sitting here in front of me. It's out of battery atm but I'm pretty sure it still runs. It's usually just crappy condition from usage that makes these old systems seem much less usable.

Think about it, N64s, PS1 and Atari's, etc still run, do they not?

Nintendo hardware is well built to last :)

        • Now that you reminded me, my Gameboy Colour and my brother's GB pocket still work! And they have regular batteries! Ah, love it.

  • Broke mine trying to replace faulty touch screen many years ago. Maybe it's time to replace it.

      You can't compare a DS to a Xbox 360….

At $59 or $78, I'd probably say the DS Lite and DSi are both worth looking at too. Better chance of getting a newer well maintained one I imagine.

    • better off putting some extra $$$ for dsl or dsi.

Yeah I agree. DSIi XL is $89 which I didn't mention above. I know these are 2 - 3x the price of the original DS, but I do think you get a better system for not too much money.

The other consideration of course is Dick Smith have the 3DS for $119. Again, another step up, but which ever one of these models you get it'll very quickly be the games that end up being the greater cost anyway. - http://dicksmith.com.au/gaming-movies/nintendo3ds/nintendo3d…
