The hunt for the Crystal Stars begins

After Princess Peach asks for his help on a treasure hunt, Mario heads to the town of Rogueport. But when he arrives, Peach is nowhere to be seen! Upon learning about the legend of the Crystal Stars, Mario sets out to find these mythical treasures and hopefully track down Peach along the way.

Of course, Mario isn't the only one hoping to find the Crystal Stars – and it’s not just Bowser who’s looking to cause trouble this time either! Can our hero find these ancient artifacts, open the Thousand-Year Door and maybe even save the world?

    I've been hunting around for a retro handheld that plays gamecube games just to play this again, I'm thinking I might just hunt around for a secondhand switch instead. Remaster reviews are pretty glowing.

      I really enjoyed it!
      It does lack a little bit of the charm of the original; but it's a solid remaster

      There's a good chance, that in time, it'll be released for Gamecube on the Switch 2, if you have an online subscription. You could be waiting months, or years, though.

    Tried this game, the unskippable drawn out dialogue killed the gameplay.

  It's $49 at target with one pass and you can use a $10 voucher ($50 min spend) joining the newsletter to bring it down to $39, i just brought chupa chump chew $1.50 to hit the $50 min spend which allowed me to use the voucher.
