According to Appshopper, this app seems to be free every few months or so, so I wasn't sure if I should post it. However, it is free and has quite good reviews. It's also been popular on OzBargain before.

    Best app ever! Used it to navigate my way through Japan. Never needed to ask for directions.. not that many would have understood me anyway lol.

    Great app, used it while on holiday in Europe. Just downloaded the maps before I left and opened them as I needed them. Bonus feature, somehow the GPS worked with any data charges so I could find myself on the maps with the locator and follow it from there.
