Hey guys,

Was at super cheap auto yesterday and they happened to be having a sale and I happened to grab the below items.

They have 50% off all their SCA own brand air tools

Super Cheap Auto - Stanley 133 Tool kit + Cabinet $249 (35% off save $150) Comes with Life time warranty

2.5hp Air Compressor Combo Deal with 15m Hose, and Mechanic tool kit. (50% off save $239) 12 months warranty

Its safe to assume price is in par with quality for the air compressor

I am just about to run into a meeting, apologies for not being able to provide product specifications.

Tool chest was $200 six months back. Its ok for the money the cabinet is poor though.

  • Dupe - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99025

But also you wouldn't be spraying to much with that air compressor.

The 2.5 is ok for inflating tyres and very light air tool work, for awhile there i had the standard 2.5hp but had two extra tanks plumbed in giving you 120l of air before the motor would kick in.

Was just enough to run a 3/4 rattle gun. Just.

      • Bought one yesterday and have already done some spray painting which worked fine. This one should be a little better in theory as it states it can supply 180 litres a minute compared to other 2.5 hp / 40 litre compressors that are usually in the 100-120 litres a minute.

Gravity fed low pressure gun? any decent gun needs a constant 80-100psi + water separator etc this compressor cannot supply this.

I'm interested in the Stanley tool kit & cabinet but didn't manage to get to a store yesterday. When you get a chance it would be good to hear your views on the quality of the cabinet & what's in the toolkit. I need a new socket set anyway so am weighing this up against an ebay cabinet & a decent socket set. Cheers

    • I have purchased it and taken it to the our new house which we will be moving in next month. I have to wait a month before I can start tinkering.

Hopefully someone can shed a bit more light.

    • I purchased this set when it was on special last time. I was very happy with it. The extent of my work is basic stuff around the house, working on my motorbike and car. It does the job pretty well. The cabinet as some have said is just average. The lock for the shelves is a manual bar that goes in the back. The top tool chest comes away from the bottom so if you need to take your main tools somewhere with bad access you don't have to roll it everywhere. The tools i would put in the above average category. I cant remember exactly all the tools but it has a pretty comprehensive socket set.

      • Cool, thanks for this info - very much appreciated.
