  Too expensive at this price, was $157 or less delivered 2 weeks ago for the pc version which can be formatted to be mac capable

  Actually you dont need to mac format it, when you install the seagate software it will ask you "do you want to use it with mac and windows " say yes and all good, you can then use it on both machines, only downside is you need to install the software on the machines.
