Just looked around on Harris Technology site and found the Ipod Touch to be $355. Most stores are selling this at $419 therefore a saving of $64 which I think is a good saving. I wouldn't call this a mega bargain however, save every dollar counts.

However, it does not say which generation it is therefore if you price match at office works and they look at the printouts, it will not specify V1 or V2 therefore some officeworks will sitll pass this through
mate, I will suggest you to wait for another 5 months for the 3 Gen version (mid 09), maybe you can get a 16G 3 Gen for the same price :)

you can try at OW to price match, Ive done it before when Harris had the 8gb one for $176. I actually got 3 gen 2 ipod touch for $190 each ($176 + delivery fee) price matched at Office works from harris tech. Because Harris use the term V1 instead of Gen 1 people get confused.
Try to find a young or clueless salesperson and you should be ok…
Apple has fixed ones for $55 less.
I think at that difference it is still worth buying Apple's one when it still comes with a full warranty plus new case and screen.
As Lenneth points out, the Apple.com/au Store had three Touch I models on the iPod clearance list, from $250 upwards for 8/16/32Gb models, IIRC.
However the fun of this site is reading about OW -5% matches. :)

Yeah good thing about this listing is no mention of which version it is. But Officeworks staff might know about it because of what happened with the 8gb model.
