Hi all, long time bargain hunter, first post etc etc

Was at Bunnings looking to spend a gift card I had and saw the Bosch Rotak 37 Li Cordless Lawn Mower for $299!

I know local stock @ Masters is just under $600 and from Amazon UK is about $520 so as I was kinda in the market I jumped on it.

Spoke to the sales girl who was in the mower section and she said it was dropped by Bunnings, I got her to check some stock levels in VIC, Box Hill still had one left in a box and Caroline Springs had 7; I think other stores were showing stock but might only be display stock eg Mooroolbark

Posted my receipt to confirm deal

      I have not unboxed it yet but I am pretty sure it is only one and only the 43 Li comes with 2

    I have the 37Li. A great mower and I was happy at the $500-$600 price. You got your self a great bargain.

    Just one battery, but never been an issue for me.

    One battery, with quick charge function, also the unit is a lot lighter than your traditional mowers. The only issue I have with this mower is the catcher size but its not that big of an issue. I have had this model for almost 2 years and never misses a beat.

      The battery is a good quality Bosch lithium and you only use it once a week for mowing. I would expect it to be ok for 5-10 years under this sort of use.

      Google may have some more info!

    Cordless mower? I had an electric flymo once and it was quite underpowered compared to even the cheapest petrol mower. I would imagine a cordless might be even worse. I guess its a case of check the reviews before you buy.

    Price is $597.00 at all other Bunnings in the system, looks as if it was a once off clearance price at that store.

    Anyone else got it? I spoke to a bunnings store and they said its a one off price, only at boxhill store at that time, no other store cant do it, must be clearance because of missing something like that, so if anyone else got it on 299 pls let me know and if can pls post the reciept too, cheers

    Prefer the mains powered model. I have a Rotak 34, still has the edge combs, easy height adjuster and same catcher.
    Well under $200 for one of these.

    Total Tools give away the 34 (corded) with any Bosch tools purchase over $500. Sold 2 on eBay for just shy of $200ea. Tools price was already sharpest in the country. Some bizarre deals going down lately!

    Had a flymo electric mower for 8yrs now. Bought it based on a Choice review. Zero maintenance, works like a champ. Low/pleasant noise. Funny how many clueless haters are still out there… Meanwhile, forever fixing their bangers.

      @ numbnuts - I replaced an ancient Flymo that only went wrong because I accidentally cut a thick rubber doormat with it. I think the bearing went.

      And I probably asked you on eBay about shipping to Tassie, but there were heaps of folks unloading their freebies!

    employee. That barcode will create the same price across the whole system, regardless of store, VIC wide at least. If it was a mark down it would appear different.

      Just checked and it's the same as others have mentioned that it's not on clearance anywhere else (let along any stock). I was told by the guy that the model is marked for deletion in their system as there is a replacement arriving that has a new ergonomic handle.

    I was fortunate enough to get the display model at Preston, VIC for $200 (it was a bit ratty looking and had no box or manual). Scans at full price, but I think it is a deleted line, so worth asking.
    Anyway, I got home and it wouldn't start cos it was missing the isolation key!
    Went back in the evening and they managed to find it for me, whew.

    Great deal if you can get it.
    I have a Rotak 34 Li & absolutely love it!
    My lawn is smaller then average & I can easily mow front nature strip & back lawn 3 times on one charge.
    Very light, great performer.
    Negative - I would not buy one if you let your lawn grow tall all the time, it will be more difficult to cut long grass.
    Being so much lighter then petrol mower I fine I use it more often now & it is definitely less of a chore to do lawns.
    The blade is still in a very good nick.
    I bought one with the mower from amazon.uk, it only cost me $18 at the time.
    Just checked & if you buy 1 blade it works out ~$50 delivered, buying 2 or 3 brings the price down to ~$33 each delivered.

    Our local Bunnings just price matched the $299 for this mower for us even though it was still in their system for $597. The staff who put it through couldn't believe the bargain we just got. This was a Bunnings in North East Victoria.

      Some one else had done the same at oakleigh south store and beat me to the last one ( so the sales guy tells me ). They have display but with no battery or charger.

    Just came back disappointed from my local bunnings in the west. The guy said the receipt does not seem genuine as it does not show the receipt number. He wouldn't do it for $299 as It's half the advertised price. Any body with full receipt please? I can try some other store.
