ROFL, premium. Crapped out by Lion Nathan to make a buck for all those who don't drink standard piss. Craft beer is dead in the water in Oz. No decent belgian ale, no imperial or export stouts, no bocks or doppelbocks, no decent strong ale or barleywine etc etc etc, nothing with any taste. If its over 5%, good luck, no one will take a shot as taxes will kill it and importing it is laughable - how about a case for 170 over at Platinum Liquor? Same ale as the US, except they pay 40 and you pay 4 times the price.

Potters, Murrays etc make all those beers you mentioned and at very high quality.
Admittedly, its expensive compared to US but hey the alcohol excise is huge here…Having said that Fat Yak's pretty boring…
Try some of the Karl Strauss Tower 10 IPA for $60 from Dan's instead. Not a bad IPA mind you more english style IPA than american but good value for a full case at 7% ABV
you must be very hard to please. have you tried any from Murray's, Four Pines or McLarenVale ? Even Little Creatures and James Squire which are pretty much mainstream these days do very decent beer. I would'n change any of those for imported beer that has traveled for so long in less than ideal conditions.

Technically Fosters, but still shame Matilda Bay got taken over. Fat Yak is a good mid price beer BTW, and the MB Dandenong puts out some decent stuff, such Alpha Pale Ale.

The price is good but not great. I only ever buy this when it is around $45 and I do buy it from time to time.actually 49.85, and cheaper at first choice (not delivered) 49.70 according to boozle.

Fat Yak is not the Beez Neez, but is still quite good.
